She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for a successful brunch buffet! She brought extra food, provided super cute plates and cutlery arrangements, and made sure everything was warm and ready for serving. She did an amazing job working with our budget and ensuring that there was plenty of food for our event. The day of the event, she and her team arrived early to make sure there was enough time to set up. She thought of everything and took great care of us! I loved working with Stephanie and will absolutely keep Mixing Bowl on the Go in mind for future events.

If I could give negative stars I would!! I had a tasting with Stephanie back in June. She brought so much delicious food and was so polite so we hired her to cater my daughter’s wedding. She printed a menu, showed us the tableware she would be using and said she’d decorate the table for the reception. She was paid in full by July for a November wedding! Then the communication became less and less. She would text with questions at the last minute that the answers were agreed on months ago! Three days before the wedding she stopped answering her phone. Calls and texts were made by several people without response. The day of the wedding she shows up with 3 different kinds of plates that must have been leftover from other events because they didn’t even match each other and we ran out before the food was gone. The food was dry, cold, tasteless, meatballs were burnt on the outside and raw in the middle, pasta was not cooked completely, and we ran out of food with 1/2 our guests not fed! She was very rude while setting up which took forever! When confronted that we paid to feed 120 guests and she showed up with maybe enough to feed 50, she assured me there was more than enough. How embarrassing it was for guests to leave early because they were hungry!! Her contract states to try to settle with her before making a bad review. Seems this has happened before. She is still not responding in a timely manner and not being cooperative at all. This is no way to run a business!! Please don’t let this lady take advantage of another person! I wouldn’t trust this place to feed anyone!!!** EDIT-Minutes after this was posted the owner started texting in all caps refusing to refund our money. This was almost $3000 and she wants to give my daughter back $850??? Each conversation seems to be more and more lies!!!

Bad food, bad experience. I don’t know why this catering business has good reviews, our experience was terrible. The food that was provided for an important occasion was undercooked, not spiced, and unappetizing in appearance. One entire dish went into the trash right away as it was unsalvageable, the rest I had to recook, add spices- anything I could do to put food out for guests. It was embarrassing to serve the food, and it was a waste of my money. I DO NOT recommend this business.

Closed! Went by on 2/26 and the sign is gone and no activity. Can see a ladder inside, but I don't know if this is a remodel or closing. I'm guessing closed, since the sign is gone.**Update: their website now lists their address as 1600 Campbell StKCMO, MO. Guess they moved???

It's one of those hole in the wall restaurants that serve good food. The building is old and pretty run down. The service was very good. I had them make a new pot of coffee because it wasn't hot like I like it. They only took cash so I had to run to the nearest ATM down the street. The food was good. Everyone was pretty happy with what they got. My wife loved her omelet and my grandson loved his breakfast burrito.Parking: There's limited parking in the back but I parked out front on the street.

My family and I came here one Sunday morning for breakfast. Food is pretty standard diner fare. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The cinnamon rolls were a hit. The only downside was the service. We did not see our waitress as often as we would've liked. Getting our bill and waiting for the waitress to return took over 20 minutes, so we were held hostage for a little while. There were some other tables but I would not say the restaurant was crowded at all. Perhaps they are simply understaffed or we came on an off day. All in all, it was not bad but I am not in a hurry to return, either.
We were looking for a new place to try for breakfast while visiting KC and stopped by The Mixing Bowl and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious without taking itself too seriously. The cinnamon roll was very good and real cream cheese icing. The staff was so nice and very attentive. We appreciated the great food and atmosphere during our breakfast and will definitely be back!

This hole in the wall is the absolute best! Friendly staff and the food is to die for! I got the Crossroads Country Breakfast hands down the best! Its huge but totally worth it! My husband got the loaded hashbrowns. Also very good! The decor is cute with a mom and pop feel to it. Its a must eat at restaurants for some good home cooking breakfast!

Long overdue review for one of my favorite breakfast places! Diner style breakfasts are what this place specializes in! I love the loaded hashers with eggs over easy! Could eat it everyday. The food quality is always the same and the wait staff are friendly! Glad to see this place thriving. Hidden gem on southwest boulevard.
