We had a reservation with 3 bowling teams. They sat everyone down and then couldn’t accommodate our family of 5 including our child. We asked the hostess if they could help seat us, she ignored us then started seating other people. We walked out and will never be back. Word of mouth is a big deal in your business and after years of coming here for birthdays we will move our spot somewhere else. Rude hostess and no help even though we had reservations.

I haven't been here in over 10 years. This was a special place for my wife and I back then. I am saddened by the decline. Especially the food quality. I hope this visit was an anomaly. This place used to be so good.

Tokyo Japanese Steak House is one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City. Hong, the manager, is awesome, the food is great, prices are good and the staff is excellent.

I'd give this place zero stars if i could. One it was dirty and very dark. Second we came for the early bird but they didnt come back for our order until just after that timeframe ended and refused to honor it. Third our cook seemed bored and was done in 5 minutes. Didnt talk to us. No big show. Very boring. We were there for a birthday. Didnt give the birthday dessert even though menu states you get one. Then after we had paid and were leaving a woman runs out yelling at us that someone took the wrong copy of the receipt. I asked what the issue was since everyone had paid by card and it all went through but she wanted the merchant copy. Well that person had left. The lady threw a fit. I again asked what the issue is and that she was being very rude. Come to find out what she really wanted was proof my niece had paid tip. Which she had. I told her that after that rude display she didnt deserve one and thats too bad and to DO BETTER! This place used to be good but has spiraled downhill. Will never be back. Don't waste your time or money.

Great food, great service, and probably best of all the chefs put on a show. I have grandsons 8 and 4 and they love it. Everyone has a great meal and a lot of fun. Another great thing is to see your grandsons eating something other than (well let's just say probably the most famous fast food restaurant ever) and enjoy.
