I'm normally down here visiting the dive bar next-door called lucky boys but decided to have a nightcap and grab a cocktail before heading back home. The cocktail chai and love again caught my eye immediately after looking at the menu. It was beautifully crafted, and so delicious and warmed my tummy. The space was also super cool. I loved the record player that they had in the window and the bookshelf of records by the bar. I don't think I've ever been in a bar with an actual record player playing music before, so that was very interesting to see. I'll have to stop by again soon to check out more of their cocktails. Unfortunately we only had time for one.

Atmosphere is 10/10. You can hear yourself think but it’s busy enough that the “vibe” is there. Didn’t have the greatest experience with my first plate but the waitress was incredible that she offered to replace my entire meal with another one. AMAZING staff and atmosphere. And GREAT gnocchi pork shoulder dish.

This place is a joke. They took our reservation days in advance and texted me the day before to confirm our booking, only for us to show up on the night to find the restaurant completely closed. This was a place my mom had been looking forward to trying and wanted to take me to before I flew home. On the plus side, there are several other great places nearby who were more than willing to accommodate us on short notice. We ended up at Novel - which was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend - a special shout out goes to the Fox and Pearl who, while they initially had no availability, called back within 5 minutes to offer us a table. Voltaire didn’t even answer our phone calls while we were sitting outside their restaurant to inquire about our reservation. We drove ages in fairly poor conditions to come for dinner and were left stranded. We felt completely let down and have no desire to ever try this place again.

Went for New Year's Eve cocktails & drinks. Fantastic appetizers. We enjoyed the Short Rib Bao and NYE Special Smoked Salmon Deviled eggs. The skirt steak was good. Gnocchi was alright - more of a dumpling. Turns out I am not a fan of lamb, but if you enjoy lamb the lamb shank would have been good. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. Fun vibe.

I love this place. The cocktails are original and well-crafted. There isn't a better pork chop in Kansas City, and the service is always good. On Saturday night, there was a software error, and one of our meals didn't make it to the kitchen. The manager on duty MORE than made up for the delayed meal. Mistakes happen; it's great when the service industry acknowledges it and goes above expectations to make it right. Kudos!
The food wasn’t bad at all but the charcuterie board was not worth $23 at all, it was mostly crackers and bread…
