usually always have a good experience with Citizen Kane, however, last night they way overcooked my steak. For $60 I feel like the steak should be cooked correctly. Waitress noticed the steak was overcooked but never said anything. And I’m not one to send food back by any means.

A perfectly acceptable steak with an outlandishly high price for the quality, menu selection, and ambiance. Our total bill, with tip, came to $170 and that was for two entrees and two iced teas. No appetizers. No cocktails. No dessert. Luckily we had a $100 gift card so for $70 out of pocket, it was okay.

This place is one of my favorite places! They are welcoming and inviting! Steak is always seasoned to perfection. We have been celebrating our life accomplishments at this location for over 15 years and we are never disappointed! Reservations are a must and great for a romantic ambiance, special birthday dinner, and other occasions.

Our dinners came out separately. So I waited for my husbands steak to arrive before I started. My filet was supposed to be medium but was well done. No pink at all. Not much flavor and not very tender for a filet. I didn't say anything so that was fault.

Excellent food. All the sides were great. The main course of steak was easily one of the best I've ever had. The wait staff was impeccable. My water glass was never empty, they cleared dishes quickly, and were always polite. It's s tad pricy but not unreasonable for the quality of food and service.

High end food and prices and lady that sat us at our table was wearing blue jeans.

As usual, the foods and. service were outstanding. The noise level was unbearable. We would have sat a few minutes longer at our table, but the noise level of chatter and LAUGHTER was awful. SAD.

Excellent dinner. Excellent service. Rick was a very good server. Couldn't ask for a more tender steak, perfectly cooked. Loved the house dressing and the mushrooms. Amazing warm chocolate cake to end a great meal.

The Ribeye was cooked to perfection medium rare+! The French onion soup was great! Could have used the cheese over the soup. Waiter and service helpers were great. Waiter knew what we asked and followed through! I'm ready to go back!

The food and service were excellent. This is an old house from late 1800's converted so it shows some wear. We had a table for 4 with a big, padded, plastic dining table cover with a tear in part of it, if not linen, something else nicer could have been done. But minor issue when compared with the level of service, food quality and overall experience.

The steak was good. Salad just ok. When making reservations they asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. Yes, a special birthday. They did NOTHING to celebrate it. Disappointing. Don’t ask if you aren’t going to do something to make it special. ☹️

Came here for our one year wedding anniversary.Great, cozy atmosphere and good steak. However, for a $200 dinner, disappointed that they did absolutely nothing for our anniversary (could’ve offered desert, anything really, yes the waitress was aware). Also, the appetizers and sides are disappointing. No NA drink options either, not even offered to make a mocktail when asked.

The food here is second to. One - easily the best steaks in St. Louis. But I always stick with the pork chop, first of all it's as big as your face, second: it has a special glaze they put on it. Everything is always on point.
