Especiallly pleased with service and atmosphere. You can actually have a conversation without shouting! Love the soups. Also pleased that they were willing to accommodate a dietary request. Food is always well prepared and served hot. I've ordered a variety of dishes over time and never been disappointed. Definitely would frequent more often if the price point were a bit lower, but, in general, they are in line with most other fine restaurants. I consider them a favoite and definitely recommend.

Food was good. The service was slow at first, but got better as the meal went on. We were seated in a fun table on the second floor balcony. Overall, we enjoyed the meal, but we're not blown away.

I am torn about writing this review as it is our MOST favorite Italian restaurant in St Louis by a mile. The reason I am torn is if too many people learn about it we will have trouble getting in! But, so said I cannot say enough about the food. The scallops wrapped in prosciutto are divine, they are a special so not always available but try! The lobster ravioli is delicious with a sauce that makes you want to lick the plate. Jimmy is a fantastic waiter, remembering what you drink!

All my expectations were met and my date thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. The food presentation was beautiful and timed perfectly for us. We definitely will be returning!

Very kind staff, perfect spot for after a play at the Rep. They take and honor small party reservations (harder and harder to find these days). They had off menu specials that were extra delightful, like the swordfish. We also got salads, wine, and some of the classic pasta entrees. The mushroom mascarpone pasta was great Italian comfort food. Risotto could be creamier and more flavorful, depending on how you prefer it. This place is very nice without being overly pretentious and without putting out strange combos for the sake of attempted novelty. I would definitely recommend.

Our server, who was also behind the bar, was fantastic. He was patient, explained the menu and specials for the evening, and checked on us the appropriate amount of time. My friend and I were celebrating her engagement and the restaurant was the perfect place for our dinner. Food was flavorful, the right temperature, and the portions were generous. Our busser was also attentive, refilling our water regularly.

A staple restaurant for my family and I. We come here at least a few times a month. This is a family business that will treat you like family (shoutout to Nori & Jimmy!) They rotate out some specials, like the lobster risotto, which is delicious! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. A fantastic establishment!

This was our third and second time we brought first timers. They loved it. We love the food. The service is still slow, but we were enjoying our evening with friends. We will be back again!
I chose Sapore for a dinner with my favorite niece. It was extremely cold, and I knew it would be cozy inside and the food would be delicious. (Usually I eat outside on the amazing patio!) Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Warm and inviting...and my salad and eggplant were yummy. Our server was both friendly and appropriately attentive.

Sapore is wonderful. The food is amazing, the service is great. I recommend reservations, we do tend to go as a special occasion but I'd be happy to eat there often. Highly recommend
Wonderful Chilean sea bass, minus the salty caper sauce. Lobster ravioli, three stuffed pillows, flavorful cream sauce. Caesar salad with ultra crispy lettuce and house made anchovy dressing. Very enjoyable evening!

Food is amazing. Service is exceptional. It appears there are only three front room staff, but they move at an amazing pace. Highly recommend the lobster ravioli. Drink pours are great. We love this place!
