This menu has very diverse farm to table selections and has something for everyone including vegetarians. Menu selections are inspired by the low country of South Carolina and offers a lot more than just steak, chicken or other typical selections. The charcuterie boards are an awesome appetizer or make a great meal along with a dinner salad. The board we ordered had a variety of berries, berry jams and cheeses along with toast points. Others offer meats and cheeses. Coastal selections of shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, oysters just to name a few. Get online and checkout the menu. The burgers are freshly ground and delish! The next time we go back, I will try something else.

Good, fresh food, nicely prepared, original dishes. They managed to find a competent wait staff when no one else as the lake has managed to do so. Great views of the lake in a tasteful, simple decor. We were dismayed to find rabbit on the menu - not an acceptable food and they should be better aware of the trend against eating sentient animals that are popular pets. Cheese plate was yummy with excellent toasted bread. Halibut and venison were also very good. Too full for dessert.

What a great resturant in a land if meat and potatoes resturants . The shrimp and grits is to die for. True low country food. The rabbit is phenomenal. The whole menu is imaginative but meat and potatoes folks won't be left out. Buffalo born and Charleston trained chef Sills is knows his food and what a great value is. His attention to detail, from sourcing his food to plating, matches the best resturants in Chicago, Minneapolis and Kansas City. It is a must if you are in the area!

I like to travel and eat at special places. I'm known to frequent my favorites places for my favorite dish at each place. But Savannah Grille is different for me. I don't go there for a favorite dish; I go there for my favorite chef Robert Sills' preparation of what ever food he has found fresh and in season. Last fall, I walked into the bar area and was greeted with much enthusiasm and was offered a freshly made autumn harvest sangria that I fell in love with. It paired perfectly with house made potato chips with a blue cheese sauce and bacon crumbles. Anytime Chef has fresh ramps anywhere near a plate, I'm totally in. Early after this restaurant opened, I learned what shrimp and grits are supposed to taste like and this is the only place I will order them. My husband is a die hard steak eater and he has never been disappointed in any steak choice he has made here. I was fortunate enough to attend a wine tasting dinner here and we got to taste test some offerings that Chef was considering adding to the menu. I was with 30 people I had never met and we had a ball. I've also been in attendance in several meetings here and we were seated in one of the tastefully decorated private rooms where we could talk freely and still get great service. The view of the lake just simply makes me happy. I love catching the sunset which can be seen from almost every seat in the restaurant. I urge you to choose the Savannah Grille. I think you will go back often. I'm betting you will meet Chef Robert Sills as he makes every effort to meet with his guests sometime during the meal. Enjoy that too; he has a great personality and the cutest daughter and wife. And he loves to talk FOOD!

We were able to get a table at the time we wanted and the place was packed. Good sign. After being seated, we noticed every table around us had either not been served at all or had just received their drinks. We waited nearly 20 minutes to even get noticed and almost left. We persevered. We did finally get a harried server (we counted only 2 servers) who did take our drink order. That took another 15 minutes to bring and we decided to go ahead and order. All along, the tables around us were yet to receive their dinner order. Almost 40 minutes later, our food arrived. The server indicated that there were two (2) out in the kitchen and she appreciated our understanding. Almost 2 hours in total, less consumption time and in that time, we never saw the owner/s or a manager if they had one to let us know they understood the problem. On a Saturday night, a person would think that there would have been an owner or manager present and at least acknowledge if the service or food was satisfactory. The bright side was the food; excellent and well plated. We would give this a second chance, though if we saw it packed again, would likely leave before 15 minutes. It is not that large of a establishment.

We had a wonderful dinner on New Year's Eve with friends. Service was excellent as so is the food. Our table was ready when we arrived as if they were waiting just for us. Glad your here Savannah Grille. Open table was so easy to use.

Wanted somewhere for dinner that was more than the average chain establishment. Savannah Grille has great views, although our table didn't give us much chance to enjoy them. We ordered a bottle of wine while we made our meal choices. The wine arrived, but the server broke the cork ... then left with the bottle, to return several minutes later with wine (our wine?) in two carafes, and served it into generic stemware! Rather than make an issue, I dismissed it as one of those things - although clearly not what you expect in a more upscale dining establishment. Our appetizer and salads were OK, but then our steaks arrived ... my wife's filet was OK, although a little dry, my ribeye was tough and sinewy. Overall, an only average experience.

We dine here a few times a month...always something new and fun on the menu...well prepared, reasonably priced. One of the best plates at the lake! Well worth your dime to dine here...

We were at the Lake for our anniversary which fell on a Monday night. While the options for a nice dinner at the lake, off season, on a Monday are somewhat limited, I used Open Table to narrow it down to five. We picked the right one! Have not been here before since the restaurant is just short of two years old. Great view of the lake. Not on the lake but sitting high on Four Seasons Dr. Started with a cheese board with a great variety including cheese, fruit, nuts and even pickled mustard seed. My wife had the quail and I have the southern fried chicken. The menu has a great variety with non-typical items such as rabbit and interesting side dishes. The chef/owner spent a great deal of time stopping by each table at the end of the evening.

These guys know what they are doing. The food here is on par with any major city in the country. Honesty I would prefer this to many of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. And we frequent Chicago a lot. We will definitely be back and if you haven't tried this place and you are a foodie then make a reservation or walk in. You are in for a treat.
