It is amazing. I'm very picky about my catfish. This was cooked perfectly, hush puppies were great, other sides were very good. I do lots of traveling with my job and Dowd's will definitely be on my again list.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Friendly service and fairly fast. Nice atmosphere, relaxing and down home. Really like this place for catfish and tney have fried okra and fried mushrooms.

The food was OK. The catfish was bland but was cooked well. The fried pickles were near burnt. Seems like the fry oil needs a change out. The server was friendly and attentive despite seeming overwhelmed by the many tables vs. staff.
