I got food poisoning from this place. Went to my doctors office. Received a diagnosis for food poisoning. Got raw chicken wings from this place. Went to visit the manager then she acted like she did not speak English she offered me more chicken wings and of course i declined. All I wanted was my small bill from the two visits paid. She tried to said bring a expense report back but i just let it go and never ever returned. Later today I’m calling the Health Department and reporting them. After that i will go make reviews on every site i can. I have all the proof still. I should post pics too

The kind of dragon jay has been remodeled and I think the food is better than the 3.5 star rating... I think it's because they are eating it based on the buffet. I'd say the buffet is closer to a 4 star.

Admittedly I haven't found one good Chinese restaurant in all of Kansas City. But the food at this place made me sick. The food had tasted mediocre at best. Spent over $40 for 2 entrees with sides and an order of rangoons. I should have been able to eat on that for 3 or 4 meals, but after my first feeding I ended up throwing the leftovers away.When I first went inside I had asked a person coming out while I was going in if the place was any good they said it was okay. They must have a tougher stomach than me.I don't enjoy leaving a bad review but I don't want someone else getting sick.
Chow mein is usually a stir friend noodle dish. Pork chow mein is not a soupy slop dish you included with our order. This is not even close to correct.

I could tell taste the differences between made from scratch on many of the items and the items that most Chinese food restaurants use premade. Having said that they make smaller batches so you might have to wait for some of the popular items to be replaced. All in all It is still an above average Chinese buffet.

My wife has begged me to eat at this Chinese buffet for almost a year now and I denied and came up with excuses why we can not go BUT today at the hyvee next door o caved and so “okay we will try it but if it’s nasty I get to say told you so”Well we ate there for lunch when they opened it was literally the BEST Chinese buffet I’ve ever had in my life. Every single food item was fresh hot and packed with amazing flavor!The owner was an amazing sweet lady who you could tell takes her establishment very serious & her food quality even more serious!Very very clean! Buffet price was well priced and even cheaper for our kiddos!This food was so amazing my wife asked me to go create a “box to go” so that’s what I did this even & this is why I didn’t get them a all around the house 5 star review.They have a sign that reads $6.95 for a buffet to go “not to exceed 1.5lbs” mine came to $17.95 (which is more money then if I would’ve just stayed and ate at the buffet) when I asked the worker why she was now honoring the sign they have up she told me “we don’t really don’t that anymore, so we charged you buffet and add a couple dollars”You can only imagine my inner rage when she said that to me!I’m making this review in hopes of getting the sweet owners attention so she can further explain why I was charged and treated that way after coming back for a 2nd time in 1 day after finally giving her establishment a try & voicing to her how AMAING her food was!! It’s literally the best I’ve ever had and am disappointed I didn’t listen to my wife sooner but this evening rubbed me to wrong way.Long story short for the viewers wondering is this place good? The answer is YES, worth every penny. Flavor and freshness is second to NONE!
