Good service and atmosphere. Food is fresh and tasty, they have frog legs and alligator which I would recommend getting. If you are near by visit this place

My husband and I have been to the Fish Market several times in the last few months. I always get the frog legs. They are the absolute BEST in the KC area! The jalapeño chez cornbread is delish as well as the red beans and rice. My husband goes for the catfish nuggets which are another favorite. This place has been around forever... just a little hole in the wall, but the food is so good and the setting is very relaxed. Love it!!!

I can’t truly begin to explain how good this was as I don’t have the words for it. This is a very unsuspecting small locally owned and operated establishment a diamond in the rough if you will. It is exactly what I want to see in a place such as this. Very home hearth feeling with a fun side. Tucked away by the river one would never know what treasures await them there. The food all made to order fresh “never frozen” seafood and land fare. Worth the wait. Service cheerful and happy but not annoyingly bubbly. House made sauces and side are awesome. We had the daily double which was like a sampler platter type. We got the gator, shrimp, chicken , and catfish. Our sides were double fries, potato salad, and slaw. We also ordered crab cake, hushpuppies, and a cup of jambalaya (very large portion glad we didn’t say bowl) all were great and some with their own spin on side dishes. Everything was well portioned and more than the three of us could eat. We also had jalapeño cornbread and the strawberry cake (get the cake you wont be disappointed) it is served cold. Bad sides; If they are super busy parking can be hard to find, bathrooms are single person but relatively clean. They do have a small bar as well with signature drinks. I recommend you try it, if you’re in a hurry go during non peak hours to avoid parking issues or a long wait. I wouldn’t recommend large parties and if you do have maybe call ahead to see if they can accommodate as seating is kinda limited due to the size of the building.Parking: Parking during peak hours can be hard to findKid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu.

Such a wonderful place!!! Was really craving some good fried fish and chose this place which was the best decision our day. We got hush puppies for starters which came out nice and hot. For our entrees, we got the daily double which comes with your choice of 4 different proteins and 4 sides. This was enough to feed my husband, teenaged son and myself. We got alligator, shrimp, chicken strips and catfish along with fries (double order), coleslaw and potato salad. The coleslaw was crisp and very well flavored (my favorite), the potato salad nice and creamy, and the fries and seafood hot and fresh. Everything is made to order, so yes it takes a minute but is well worth the wait. We also had some jambalaya which was fantastic, and one crab cake which was the best I have head in a very long time. All their sauces are house made and are amazing and don’t even get me started about the strawberry cake…TO DIE FOR. Our waitress was very personable and attentive (thank you Madi). I just can’t say enough good things. You must try this place!! Sorry for no pics, it was just too good to wait.

Second time I've eaten here and gotten a basket both times; one flounder and this time crab cakes. Both times they have not given me the fries and hush puppies. Crab cakes were small and really nothing but breading; not very much crab meat in them. Certainly not worth $18.

Down-home Cajun charm helps this place entertain and feed family and friends. Kids love the outdoor plastic friends by the patio seating. Fried catfish, alligator, shrimp, gumbo, etc, makes this an local popular spot. Beverage choices are plentiful.
