“I have been here several times. Sometimes just randomly, and sometimes for special occasions. The ice cream has never let me down. The flavors are unique and delicious and they rotate new ones in frequently. They also offer alcoholic and vegan ice creams. The cones are delicious and come with different flavors. They let you try each flavor if you want. Getting the ice cream is a little slow, but worth the wait. The scoops are large, personally I've never eaten more than 2. The place is cute, but doesn't have a ton of seating. It's normally enough to hold everyone but on popular nights you might have to eat outside on one of their benches. Would highly recommend.“

“This is the face of a VERY happy birthday boy. The driver was professional, and very kind to the children. Multiple people around the area were excited to see the ice cream truck too. He did our party and other sales. How he managed that I will never know. Because the kids were coming in left and right. I was excited that this business had sonic the hedgehog ice cream. But they exceeded my expectation on the variety of treats. We purchased bracelets for our party guests so the driver could know they were with the party. It worked out beautifully. I was actually able to purchase extra sonic the hedgehog ice creams and snocones! I will definitely be using them in the future. Great reasonable price and so friendly.“

It was remarkable to see everyone working together so cohesively to overcome the order backlog. “Nice little neighborhood grocery store, with a long history that also serves some great sandwiches! We tried the Roma and Mary Jane sandwiches and loved both. All sandwiches come with a pickle spear and small bag of chips. The flavors were nice and fresh, with great taste! About $9 each and a good size. We sat and ate at the counter and read about the history of the building. Next time I want to get some of the side salads to try. The service was a bit odd, as there were 4 people behind the sandwich counter and 1 at the front/store register. The 4 folks were all talking to each other and didn't notice us for a bit. The guy who took the order seemed a bit upset and didn't really talk much. He sent me up front to pay and then said to come back in 5 min for the food. After a few minutes I came back and the other folks helped find the order. They were both very friendly, and helpful. Must have just caught the first guy in a bad moment. Is it a place for date night? No. It is worth going there and grabbing lunch to eat outside on a nice day? Hard "YES"! Great food at a good value and a local place, can't ask for much more than that!“

“We've driven past here countless times and today had the opportunity to have lunch. It's a store front in a small strip, clean and nicely decorated inside, with 3-4 umbrella tables outside. The counter staff were very kind and offered recommendations. I had the chicken spedini with salad. I didn't realize it also came with a generous bowl of spaghetti and red sauce. I'm Italian and most Italians will tell you, "We never eat sauce out (meaning tomato sauce), so I took it home for the kiddo. My husband selected the chicken parmigiana which also included pasta and we both had salad. Our entrees and the broccoli that accompanied them were delicious. The quantity of food was too much for me, but the hubby loved it as he was ravenous by the time we stopped. The salads were tasty, though the cheese we added came in fairly large sticks - not bad, just oddly proportioned. Everything tasted good, but we were a bit shocked by the prices. While the counter staff were very nice, she didn't indicate how much of an up charge there was for a small side salad. We'd expected close to $20/each and ended up with a bill of almost $60. We won't pay that much for lunch again anytime soon, though we would consider them for catering because the food was very tasty and the catering prices weren't terrible, thus the 4-stars. It would be 5-stars except for the unexpected pricing.“

“It's a family favorite, but like many restaurants, the value has slipped. We did take out - an entree caesar and an extra large mizithra for $40. Outstanding mizithra and the pesto dressing is incredible. But outside of those two ingredients, we basically got plain spaghetti with browned butter and romaine lettuce. No protein -- just noodles and lettuce. Yes, two small cups of spumoni (3-4 spoonfuls) were included as well as a small loaf of Italian bread. I'd mention the side salad, but it was a handful of lettuce in half a pint container. I expected larger servings, especially as we spent the extra $5 for the larger order.“

“Apple Spice is the best breakfast and lunch caterer in St. Louis. They have the best in class focus on customer service. Our orders are always accurate and on-time (if not early). If there has ever been a question about our order, they call us and are courteous in their communication. We always get a follow up from them inquiring about how the order went. Not only was the food delicious and the staff exceedingly kind, they went out of their way to accommodate us and help us figure things out when we needed advice/had any questions. The teriyaki-glazed Impossible meatballs were a huge hit and people were RAVING about them for days after our April 13 wedding - a few people even mentioned that the food was the best they'd ever eaten at a wedding. The bartenders were equally helpful and kind and even suggested a little Sprite and wine cocktail to my brother who isn't a wine drinker (we opted for no hard liquor at our event) and he loved it. They were super helpful in getting everything cleaned up and put away after the wedding and brought big old containers so we could take home all the leftovers.
