Went to the Jackson grille this evening with great expectations for a date night with my husband. Came away with the weirdest dining experiences of our lives. Service second rate and a 45 dollar steak slopped in a burger basket. The steak was very good but sawing through the wax paper basket liner to slice it ruined the experience. The waitress brought our food and came back to ask if we needed a box. Refilled my tea but no ice. If you’re not open on Thursday don’t be open on Thursday. My experience sucked. Stuck in room off lounge which had the atmosphere of a broom closet. We dine out for work frequently so we know a good restaurant experience. This was not one.

Disappointed, I had higher hopes . Place was on 1/3 full on a Friday night and they were out of prime rib already, my wife and I had Ribeye steaks instead. Hers was way undercooked but she ate it anyway, way too much seasoning on both of them. Took forever for her to get her drink, couldn’t screw up a beer of mine so that’s a plus . Salad bar was very good and whatever they use for croutons are awesome . Bread they served with our meals was hard as wood and burnt so we made joke out of that , for a 60.00 steak meal I’ll just go to the Flame in Springfield as they’re superior in every way. Btw tell Ringo the piano player to take some lessons. He wasn’t that good . I rate this place a 6/10 and I’m not coming back I’m afraid

Grace our server was great. Disappointed that we stood at the host stand 10 minutes before we were greeted. Salad bar was fresh and tasted great. My filet was very bland and I had to send my plate back because the potatoes and gravy were cold. My husband had the prime rib and it was fantastic. Music was beautiful but a little too loud in my opinion. We may try again in the future but I was definitely disappointed for the prices we paid.
They were very accommodating and allowed us to dine in the lounge so that we could have a more quiet and relaxed dinner. Our server was amazing and the prime rib was flavorful and tender. Also, my drink was refreshing and the salad bar was fresh.Overall, we’d definitely return and we’d love to check out the lounge menu in the future.

No reason whatsoever to make a reservation here. I made one for my mother’s bday 3 days ago. When we arrived there were 5 tables open. The hostess told us there would be a 15-20 minute wait. I asked what the point of a reservation was. She said there was a party coming in. Not sure how that would even matter since I made us a reservation ahead of time. After being seated out of the 5 open tables 3 were not filled the entire time we had our dinner. Food and waitress were great but I will not tolerate being lied too.
