Food was typical and ok. It’s a handy restaurant to have in town. It was very cold in there, not sure the heater was working quite right. The waitress was great. My son loved the chicken nuggets shaped like animals.

Service was unbelievable. Probably over 8 different people served the 2 of us. Salad was awesome. Prime rib was very good. My wife said lobster tail was great. Staff were very friendly.

We were camping and wanted an easy place for dinner Friday evening. There's a restaurant in front and a bar in the rear.Everyone's food was great. Service was personable and she got a nice tip from all three couples.

Went there for lunch and that had to be the best mushroom swiss burger i ever had. My God the beef patty was super thick and cooked perfectly. My Dad had the special which was a grilled pork tenderloin with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. I had a taste of this amazing piece of meat and it Was fabulous. Mashed potatoes were also yummy. Both meats were juicy and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent as well. She was a happy person. We will be back.

This restaurant is now called The Pear Tree Restaurant. Stopped here on the way to Omaha. Upscale atmosphere. Homemade dressings. They brought hot croutons with the dinner salad. They are known for their onion rings but I don’t eat fried food. Some of the fried entrees and platters are served on a bed of shoe string French fries and you get additional 2 sides. This would be a great date place.

Had dinner as a table of 10 with a reservation. Arrived early and had no issue being seated and servers promptly. Cocktails were all refreshing, portobello app and crab Rangoons were served super fast and yummy - sauces were amazing! Service lapsed for a bit in between salads and entrees but we were checked on consistently. All 10 were pleased with their choices and would try again. Definitely a hidden gem for the area and you would never guess from the outside.

Very good Had the onion rings, good but sauce was unimpressive. Cassandra was prompt and polite Coworkers filet and lobster tail were very good I was happy with flavor but dissatisfied with my cut of $52 ribeye. Nonexistent deckel and a big piece of lip on fat. After being loses for 2 days, out of 1 draft, and 1 desert that was on the menu. Great for the area but not a value for the price point for the cost. Would return bc it’s the only real good, food in a 50 mile radius

I've been to AJ's a few times now and this is THE bar to go to when you're in Montgomery City. I honestly don't know how Dry Dock can still even compete. There is 2 pool tables as opposed to one and there is plenty of room to move around whereas the other bars in town, you're literally shoulder to shoulder with everyone around you. It is very claustrophobic.I honestly feel like as long as AJ stays on top of it like he has been, it won't be long till this bar beats out the competition entirely.
