Used to be good for not anymore. Staff is not friendly and food often has hair in it or not what you order.

Vegetarian options: There are several good options. The vegetarian fajitas were excellent. You get a heaping pile of vegetables seasoned just like the meat option. My wife loved the vegetarian chalupas.

Decent food! The service was okay and It would have been nice to know that we were supposed to pay up front, after waiting over 20 mins for our server to take our card. Ugh. Overall, the food was mid and service was okay.

I've gone to this place, since it first opened in the south side of Springfield. The place has always been a solid authentic restaurant in Springfield. Always a good meal; good service and a good value for the money. Salsa: One of the better, some would say, best in town. Chips: They're good enough and the kind of chip you'll see at many places. A thicker style chip, non-greasy etc. Enchiladas: a real good tasting ground beef with a good red sauce. Tamales: These are excellent and have quite the great taste. Rice & beans: The prototypical end product you'd expect. Catering need?: I used this place once recently, based on my wife having this (brought in) at her office. I think it was $10 or $11 a head - and it was a great value; tasted really great; tons of food! The service is always fast and the kitchen knocks it out pretty good, most every time. The place itself is always clean and comfortable. I always suggest folks go to El Puente!

Always are very satisfied and full for a reasonable price. Excellent workers.
Cobwebs on the light fixtures. The El Puente rib eye was very fatty and I told and showed the waiter the fat and we asked for the Wednesday/thursday special margarita and received a margarita more expensive and told the waiter. However, he said oh sorry and then we asked to speak to the manager and after 2 to 3 minutes we left. We will never return!!!!!!!!

This is a nice, clean and friendly restaraunt. The service is good, attentive and well prepared to take care of you. They just upgraded some seating and they make great effort to ensure the dining area is clean. The Mexican food - from tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and chimichanga's are all good and prepared when ordered. This is not a novelty location that promotes out of the ordinary cuisine. They just serve very good Mexican dishes The food they bring to the table not only tastes good but it looks like what is pictured in the menu. Cheese Enchiladas Chimichanga King Burrito Two Bean Burritos With Cheese Sauce On Top

A pros and cons list.PROS: The food is fresh. It tastes delicious. Their queso is heaven. They have a ton of menu options and combinations. Service is prompt and friendly. They have curbside service.CONS: The booths move and are crammed in there. I would ask for a table if you are 180lbs or more. The baby changing station is in front of the door in the womens restroom. They will charge you double if you decide to share your food.
