Food was cold and precooked over priced service was horrible. I don’t recommend this place

We so wanted to love this place. The salsas were very fresh and flavorful, and my asada street tacos were excellent. Unfortunately that’s where it stopped. My wife order the chifrijo which was supposed to come with crispy plantains chips and black beans. We got served mushy pantane spears and beanie weenies with chunks of pork fat. We asked if it was the correct thing we ordered since it didn’t match up with the description on the menu. The wait staff all agreed that they need to update the menu but when the chef explained it to us, he told us that the description on the menu is how they make it back home but he changed it based on how he likes it and assured us we would love it as he was walking away to greet his friends at the door. The wait staff apologized and again agreed that it should be updated. Lord forbid a customer makes a decision based on the menu description for their dietary needs and he sends out something different that causes a reaction. That’s a liability issue waiting to happen.

Chorizo/Pollo street tacos were delicious. Server seemed to be newer but that's okay.

Chef Tito's was an awesome experience. Chef Tito himself showed us the salsa dancing room and told us about the Sunday brunch! We can't wait to come back and try brunch... very Miami vibes ?

Where do I begin. I’ll start with the staff. The young lady that was our waitress was so sweet and kind. The food is top notch. I had the shrimp mofongo and it was outstanding! The fried and mashed plantains with the chicharrones which gave it such a nice crunch to the dish. The atmosphere was such a good vibe.

What a gem! It's so cute, like a vacation spot. There was live music. The fish tacos were out of this world. We found it randomly while watching the Snake Saturday Parade. We met the owners and made new friends.

Great Spanish style Mexican restaurant in North KC! Had the Paloma and 1800 margarita which were delicious. Loved the octopus and pork entrees! The homemade salsa was fresh and spot on.

Googled and found this place. The reviews were excellent. Looked over the menu online and saw these sandwiches which sounded delicious. We get to the restaurant, are seated quickly and asked what we wanted to drink. Two iced teas, please. The waiter brings us what appears to be and tastes like two long island iced teas. We nicely said, these don't taste like iced tea, we'll take a coke and sprite. Brings them to us. Great. Next we look over the menu. The sandwiches that we wanted to try were served for lunch only. We asked the waiter if they would make them anyway, since that's what drew us to the restaurant in the first place, he nicely said no. Ok. Let's try something else. We looked over the menu for other options and wanted to ask our waiter questions, however, he was unable to understand what we were asking and was not able to give us answers. So we decided on ordering the pollo chimichurri dish and this carne asada dish with peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Both dishes tasted ok, however, the asada dish was lacking in proportion. The dish did not come with rice or beans either. I left the restaurant still hungry, even after eating an appetizer. Earlier we ordered the queso with chorizo. The cheese tasted like it came premade and had too much grease from the chorizo in it. Now I know chorizo is greasy because I eat it for breakfast with eggs, tortillas, and beans. But please, try to drain some of the grease before putting it in queso. The place also had a dj going and an older gentleman singing the classics. That was probably the best part of the evening. The atmosphere was fun, service was ok, the food was meh. 3/5.

We got there at 7:30 in a Saturday night with a party of 9. They asked if we would sit "outside", we agreed. It was all enclosed. It was a dance area. They were doing salsa lessons. It was fun, even for 3 Gen X non-Hispanics! I really liked my street tacos.

The food is amazing. The cheese dip fire!!! The al pastor tacos would definitely order again. Please be patient with the service. It does take a little bit to get your food but well worth the wait.
