Was in KC for work a few weeks ago and stopped in here. The beers are cold and taste great. It has a great vibe also. I was only there long enough for two beers, but left with two new friends, three 6 packs of Fire Tree, and one 6 pack of Captin Holdens. Will definitely go back next time work calls me back to NKC.

The customer service at Big Rip is amazing! They will take the time to explain the various beers, give samples, and take time to find out what you like to provide suggestions. The space is smaller than some but gives it a bit more intimate feel and still has a lot of options to have quiet conversations. Big Rip has a nice crowd of regulars but is still welcoming. If is a great spot to try or make yourself a regular!

My husband and I went to the Halloween pop up they had. Camp Drinkaway. It's interactive, kind of like an escape room. It was a play on Friday the 13th. It was a lot of fun. We both survived the night lol. We would do it again. Beers were tasty and the staff was really friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Place is great to hang out. Bathrooms are a 8/10. Beer is not my favorite, but that's okay, my husband loves their Zelda. We go here like every Friday and will continue to do so! Service is epic.

I was in town with family for work and half of us wanted fantastic beer, the other half - BBQ. This place was so welcoming to people who aren’t regulars. They also took great care of the kids. The beer was also superb. If I lived in the area, I would be living at the rip. Great spot!
Hello, my name is Josh, I am the owner of Bricks Boxing gym which is located right behind Big Rip. If you are reading reviews on this page, you will probably read one about someone waving a “gun” around in here. Just know that was me and it was clearly a WATER GUN. If the guy who put it up the review had given it a second look, he would have seen me squirt my buddy next to me. This is a great bar, with friendly staff and tasty beer.

Some guy had his gun out and was twirling it around and throwing it on the bar. Bartender saw and did nothing about it, not a very groovy experience.

This brewery didn't leave much of an impression on me. I've been to a lot of them in town. Bartender was approachable and doing the job fine, so nothing bad on the staff. Did a flight of beers, and they were all more interesting on paper than in practice. Nothing I'd buy again. Vibe was a bit grungy and industrial with some sort of horror/action movie theme that didn't really fit the decor or the beers. Didn't feel much different than any other typical craft brewery you could wander into these days. I think with the flood of craft breweries emerging in recent years, there are so many choices and it's becoming more important for each to have something that really sets them apart from the rest, the product first and foremost, the vibe if nothing else. The place had a bit of a hipster vibe, if that's your thing, or not. Looks like they've found their crowd at least from all the positive reviews, so, good on em, I guess. Just wasn't for me as someone who didn't get the vibe and just wanted to try the beer.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!First off, the beer is VERY good. I ordered a flight of a good mix and really liked all 5 of them. It was difficult to choose which one I wanted to order a pint of after.Also, the people are super friendly. I'm traveling for work and asked for some dinner recommendations. Several employees chimed in with their favorites.I will definitely be back whenever I'm in town!
