We didn't get the Hibachi experience, but seeing how they do everything else, doesn't seem worth it. 1. I ordered a drink from the bar but they served me a different brand than what was stated on the menu. Which is really weird. Not to mention, the wine tasted like watered down juice. 2. The menu is not updated so instead of printing a new one, they just cross things out with a sharpie. 3. The person that seems like the general manager called the miso soup we ordered "dirty sink water" which is great marketing. 4. We ordered a salmon bento box because he claimed their fish is wild caught, not farm raised, but I knew in an instant that it was farm raised because farm raised fish have a distinct fatty, pale look that wild caught salmon does not. Also, lack of flavor due to the lack of nutritional diet was also noted. 5. Their toilet was so dirty. It's always a sign of neglect to attention, poor customer service, and lack of hospitality. Overall, pretty dissatisfied. But what do I expect in a Japanese teppanyaki in St Louis. :/

Scallops bad & smaller than dime size. Birthday celebration and waiter barely spoke. Very pricy for chewy steak also. Used to go here ALL the time. Never a bad meal. This time, over-priced rice. Didn't cover the bad food, just the plate. Had to ask for soy & chopsticks.

The server “Jacob” was very rude at the end of our dinner, demanding the check because he was “done for the night” and then when I asked for a Togo bag for our meals replied with “I thought I asked if you wanted anything else”. Food was good but I’ll be specifically asking for a different server next time.

Absolutely Awesome! We took the grand kids to celebrate Nana's Birthday. Everything was perfect. What a great experience for the young and old. Thank you!

It is the same as it has always been. I was entertained. The tuna was good. The steak was cooked expertly. It's so predictable and consistent. It's actually nostalgic. I enjoyed myself but don't expect anything new. It's not gourmet or fancy. It's hibachi.Kid-friendliness: Even with the kids meal they gave the kids rice and threw shrimp to them, Very happy to take them there again.

Table was sticky & not clean, service was mediocre, had to ask for straws, food was lackluster. This is my 2nd time coming here & it further proves my already preconceived thoughts.

The first time we came here, we were told they weren't serving sushi... a SUSHI SPOT not serving sushi? weird but ok, we decided to come on a day that they were. 2nd time around we were seated in an odd smelling part of the restaurant but decided to stay put since we were hungry enough to ignore it... our server didn't come for a while which was unfortunate since they weren't very busy... 3/5 experience... TONIGHT, visited Kitaro for a third time tonight out of convenience since we live less than 10 mins away and i'm craving sushi... their door signage is so weird "not serving sushi today" and "sushi from tue-saturday" so which is it? why not just take down signage as applicable? so we walk in and the cook(?) thought he could duck and we wouldn't see him (??) we saw him and he ducked and we stood around for a few minutes and he never came back up lol. anyway... we waited for someone to seat us and no one came for a spot that's not too busy during the week, you'd think you'd get seated in good time , NOT IN THIS CASE! to be honest we will never give this spot another chance, drive the extra 10 mins to go somewhere else! Thank me later

I ordered rainbow and dragon sushi rolls. The seafood was dry, the rice was cold and unsalted. It was not tasty. The service is unpleasant. There were about 8 free tables in the room, but we were made to wait about 10 minutes. We should have turned around and left at that moment!

Had family in town and they always enjoy this style of dining. The seating was a bit tight for our big group. We did make it work though. The soup was very flavorful and the chef did entertain. I would not get the mahi mahi again though. Would definitely stick with the tuna and steak. It was a perfect medium rare. Since it is also an experience as well as a meal I would have liked the experience to last a little longer. The server was attentive and did keep our drinks full and plates moving.

We arrived (having driven 30 minutes to get here) and there was a sign on the door that said they were not serving sushi today. There needs to be information somewhere noticeable that says if they’re not serving sushi on their website or google page. It was extremely disappointing to show up and have driven so far. I also find it very interesting that they just don’t serve sushi most days? We ended up eating elsewhere so I don’t have anything to say about how good it was or wasn’t. Just be cautious, they only serve sushi on Tuesday and Thursday. (This also eliminates any half off sushi deals they have listed on their website since they are not open on Monday’s)

Don’t bother coming they will randomly not serve sushi with no notification. They just have a paper sign on the door.
