The onion rings were good. The pulled pork was good along with the BBQ beans. The meat loaf was dry and the cheesy corn not a winner. Our food was late, received our appetizer after our salad. My wife went to use the restroom and instead of toilet paper, there was a stack of paper towels. Getting out of our boat I stepped onto a broken piece of the dock. A rush to open for the July 4th weekend I believe shot them in the foot. They are not ready. Thanks Jason and Nick for your concern. You have a huge job ahead of you. Good luck.

Great location, great view. Service was excellent. The girl was very friendly, it was her third day on the job. Hostess Angelique (sp?) was very friendly and we were able to sit out on patio with the dogs. Pulled pork was great. Onion rings and sides were good. Under construction on a new sports bar next door. Huge potential in the future. They need new docks and better, more wave breaks. Only reason less than five stars was the dock situation. Hoping to go back for years as they continue to improve the facilities.

Intended to dine here over memorial weekend with my family, however, they were not open. How are you not open for the biggest weekend of the season??!!??

Should have turned the boat around when we noticed that there were ZERO boats in the slips on a Saturday at 5:30. After a treacherous walk on the dilapidated dock, we were seated at a dirty table inside. The unfriendly waiter unapologetically informed us that they were out of almost everything we tried to order. Onion rings were the only decent thing we ate. Dipping sauce had a glaze over it and my water had a bug floating in it. Waiter brought us a to-go box and quickly grabbed it off the table after he set it down and said it was broken so he would get us another one. But not before we noticed a mouse had chewed holes in it. I've been dining at the lake for 35 years and this was by far the worst experience. Should have gone one cove down to Frankie and Louie's.

My family used to come here every year and it has always been exceptional. But this year, 2015, we went and found that it has absolutely tanked. After accepting us at 6:30 they refused to take a group of 11 behind us. Walking in we found one group of 7 that had been waiting for their check for 15 minutes, and they were the only other people there. The one waiter was overworked, even with the one or two tables she was working. They turned away a group of 5 and a little later a group of 4, lying to them when they asked for pie (we had clearly seen pie at the entrance) and then only serving us. They were waiting on a large group that had some kind of importance and turned everyone else away. This place is dying. The food is good, the service is good, but the management is poor and is not rectifying obvious problems. If you can get a table come here, but your chances of getting one are slim to none.

I used to come down to the Lake of the Ozarks every year when I was a kid. Back then, some 10-15 years ago, this place was owned by a guy named Michael, and it was ALWAYS hopping! The docks would be so crowded with boats and the parking lot filled! This is the first time I've been back in over a decade, and I don't know who owns it now, but they have absolutely run it in to the ground! Both the docks and the parking lot are nearly empty (on a Friday, no less!), the store is not up kept, the food and waitstaff are mediocre, and the thrill is GONE! The only thing worth going for is to feed the carp that have always schooled by the docks. It was a complete shame to see how far down the tubes this place has gone. What a crying shame. RIP Michael. We, and the Ozark BBQ, miss and NEED you!

We tried to go to Ozark Bar Be Que for dinner on our last trip to the lake. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that they were closed due to weather. We tried calling before but the phone just kept ringing and there was nothing on their website except that they are open at 11:00. Not sure we go out of our way to try this place again!! The only reason we keep going back is for the pies and they are getting too expensive.

DON'T come here... You'll wait 30 minutes for a Dr. Pepper and over an hour for an appetizer. Definitely not worth the wait. Apparently they're busy but I've only spotted two other tables here! Terrible service.

The wait staff are a little over enthusiastic about refilling your drink, which for some is great, but I prefer less table visits. We got the breaded mushrooms and the onion rings to start. They give you a ton of onion rings! (And they should, considering it's $15!) The mushrooms were great too, and came with a nice ranch dressing. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries as my entree. The fries were really salty and you get plenty, but the burger was just okay. They could take it easier on the ground pepper that doused my burger, cheese and bun. Overall, a nice experience. I would go back for the appetizers.
