A friend mentioned this was a great place to stop and get a bite to eat while driving through. We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened and got seated right away. Within 10-15 minutes the place was jam packed! The food and service was amazing! The staff couldn't be more friendly - so we will definitely return on our annual trek to Iowa!!

Dropped by Hats Dugout with dear friends and colleagues for an evening out and boy was this place fantastic. First off, beers are ice cold. I opted to pair my beers this evening with an awesome bacon cheeseburger, cooked to order! Owner, operator and server. Heather. took wonderful care of us! If you are in the mood for a down to earth good time, ice cold drinks and awesome food from their kitchen, then come on by Hats Dugout!

They are never open when you want them to be. They have great food. But if they're obviously never open....then I suppose you'll never know for yourself. It's ridiculous that there seldom ever even open. Such a shame

Great atmosphere, great staff, very clean, and most importantly fabulous food. I had a chicken salad sandwich that was very fresh. My spouse had a tenderloin sandwich, very big. We had the best onion rings, freshly made. Best taste ever. Highly recommend.

I’ve had several steaks here now and I have to say they were cooked beyond perfect. Absolutely the best steaks ? in the world so if you love steaks like I do you need to try this place out for sure.
Very good tasting food. Waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. I was there at lunch time. Not busy but should have been. I would recommend to each and everyone.
