City Tavern is on the square across from the courthouse in Perryville, MO. It turned out to be our favorite "go to" for breakfast during softball tournaments in Perryville this weekend. Portions are generous, the omelets are spot on, and the country fried steak is the best we've eaten anywhere. Prices are low and the quality is high! It's small but turns tables pretty efficiently. I like to go to lunch. I've been around perryville and there's not too many places that serve good food at a Decent price. And her quick think City tavern has about the best lunch specials. Their cheeseburgers are the best ever. And at a decent price

Stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We got the ham and egg C.T. breakfast and a couple bloody mary's.They were extremely busy. The staff was running like crazy but so nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good and even with how busy they were the waitress made it a point to check on us. The staff made the place a very nice comfortable laid back atmosphere, like all were welcome. Great job ladies.We will be back
