Carlitos tacos are the best tacos around. Wish they would open one in Independence. The one in Gladstone is not as tasty as the ones in Raytown…don’t know what they do different

I've been going to Carlitos for probably 20yrs. Locally owned small business!I currently work with a couple of their past employees and they've never told me a bad story about people doing things to the food to the people that come in rude, or people they don't like.They've told me about how they would clean thoroughly every night when it was time to close, and how every morning they would make the salsa, cook the meat, etc. They inherently took pride in their work and the same could be said about everyone that has worked there and/or still does.Always polite, always helpful and patient with me when I don't quite know what it is I want to get that day. They're even happy to bring the food to the table!The food is good, too. They'll never score points for fancy plates and silverware, but that's not even necessary. The food itself is really good!I'd suggest the chicken taco salad and an order of cinnamon crisps. Be prepared to wear cinnamon and sugar!10/10 would recommend. 3 out of 5 stars. Wouldn't change a thing. #HailNimrod

Been going here for years and love this place! Cozy down home feel and great food always warm and fresh along with great sauce mild and hot! The owner is the best ! Can't imagine Raytown without this place! Please sell it to someone nice that will keep your secret sauce going when you retire! It's my favorite fresh food clean Mexican family Restarant!

Carlito’s has a very inviting environment as soon as you walk in. The customer service was provided by employees with a smile and food was received quicker than expected! The quality of the food was more than 5 stars! my husband and I have found a true date night restaurant in Carlito’s!

Perfect for what we were looking for. First time visit. We happened upon this place and glad we did. It hit the spot. Very fresh and good! Offered small and large portions and great menu.

The only thing that I would come to this place for is the nice staff and clean environment. Other than that, you'll spend the same amount of money buying an entire pack of frozen burritos from the store, which is essentially what you're getting. I came here fairly often with my old construction crew and left disappointed each time. Seriously, all they do is heat up frozen burritos and other Mexican food in a microwave and serve it on a styrofoam plate. For their price I'd rather have Taco Bell.
