I have been going to Serenity Cafe almost since it opened, and it was wonderful. i told all my friends about it and took several of them there for lunch. I loved their chicken salad on a croissant. Unfortunately the last couple of visits the chicken salad has been really runny and not fit for use on any bread. It was terribly disappointing. When we asked about it, we were told that nothing had changed on the chicken salad. In our opinion - my friends and mine - something has and we haven’t been back in since Valentine’s week. The cafe’s location difficult to get in for people who are handicapped. There is only one or two handicap spaces right in front (I believe it is one space, but I could be wrong). But if it is a handicap van it is dangerous to use that space. The main parking lot requires you to use a tall staircase with good handrails, but that, also, could not be used by people with mobility problems. The second time I ate there, we sat on the patio. Don’t ever try to eat outside if the wind is blowing because you are completely exposed. Last, about location, the cafe is next door to a high school. And it is a hangout, so be sure you don’t take a late lunch because the school let’s out at about 2:30, and on Wednesday’s the kids are out at noon. I am sure they do a lot of business with high schooler’s, but I wonder if they have considered the older folks (21-92?)sParking: The parking lot in back requires you to climb one (or two small sets) flights of stairs and enters from the ‘patio’-seating area entering in the back of the restaurant. Or, you can park in the front if you don’t mind getting out of the car right on Blue Ridge Blvd’s only northbound lane of traffic. Plus, it is next door to Raytown High School and the school traffic seems to be constant, but is completely tied up starting between 2 and 4pm.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is poor, to say the least. There is one or who spaces for handicap parking in the very front, but has you parking ON BLUE RIDGE BLVD! If your H/C van exits on the left you will be trying to exit right on BLUE RIDGE - right in the middle of the one northbound lane in front of the high school. I don’t remember whether there is h/c parking in the back, but the only door in the back is up a flight of stairs, or uphill if you want to walk around the building. It would be dangerous on ice!

I didn't want to give it one star. We have been by several times during their open hours (as indicated on Google) only to arrive, and it was closed. It looked like such a great spot to visit, and it's quite aggravating since there aren't many options in the area already. So we were stuck with driving over to Kansas to get some decent coffee. What a bummer. If you aren't open, update Google!

I love that they come out with new types of lattes for the season and what's going on in pop culture! So unique, this is definitely a gem of a place.

I had put this little cafe on my radar for a long time. It's the same location where Benetis coffee experience used to be. Anytime I thought about it, it was after they closed, or sometime after 3. I had wanted to try their lunch and or breakfast last week, but unfortunately they had a water main break . Today, my husband and I finally made it for breakfast and our usual (work on laptop), and I am glad we finally did show up. We both had the French toast sampler, and it was pretty good. They do serve their food on to go containers, which is fine (cuts down on trash, and washing dishes, so I consider this place very eco friendly). The drip coffee we had was pretty good. The coffee comes from Messenger, and although this is a good thing I felt that the brew was slightly on the week side, but not drastically so. The ambience is very relaxing and the music wasn't very loud, a little jazzy and groovy. Nice place to come for an intimate chat or to do some early/afternoon work.

This little home turned cafe in Raytown is the bee’s knees! My friend and I stumbled upon it by accident, it is so cozy, cute and just smelled amazing! They have all kinds of amazing flavor combo coffee drinks and lemonades, like lavender, sage, blueberry. I had an iced sea salt caramel latte which was THE BEST and the piece de resistance is the durable Barbie pink heart straw! I’m using it in my home iced coffees. Highly recommend, the owner served us and was super cool, I do not know these people, it was just crazy cute!

This is the only coffee shop that has GREAT coffee and also GREAT food. I get the Salted Caramel Toffee Iced Coffee with Oat Milk. When I walked in, the shop blew me away. The decorations and seating are unlike anything you would think to have at a coffee shop. The music was absolutely amazing: coffee shop vibes, old school classics, with a mixture of new music. The food is made fresh and for that reason it will take a few minutes. The coffee is made CORRECTLY and for that I am grateful. If you have not been already, what are you waiting for?Wheelchair accessibility: Can enter through the front entrance fairly easy with a wheelchair.

I met a business prospect at Serenity Cafe this afternoon to visit with him about how I could help him with his business. Our meeting went almost 30 minutes past the cafe's closing time, yet the owner never made us feel like we had overstayed our welcome. In fact, when she followed us to the door to lock it, she sincerely thanked us for coming in. When I noticed her business hours, I decided to call to apologize and let her know how much my guest and I appreciated her hospitality, for not rushing us out the door and how refreshing that was. Although I live in Overland Park, my business prospect became a client today, so when I visit him for business in Raytown, I'll be sure to always stop at the Serenity Cafe simply because of the owner's very warm hospitality.

First time here. Very cute, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, delicious food and drinks. I got the Iced Caramel almond milk latte and red velvet cake cheesecake, my partner got the smoked turkey panini and mango tea. We both agreed all of it had great flavor, but he thought the tea needed a little sweetener (which the lady had suggested). Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back!
