We finally got a chance to stop by and check out what all the buzz was about. This place DOES have a few items besides the pie, so do stop in for lunch. We sampled the chicken salad sandwich and the chicken and mushroom pot pie. Of course, we added a slice of apple pie and coconut cream pie to our meal. All of it was delicious! Stop on in and support local!

The pies are not the same, or as good, as they used to be. The same can be said for the cinnamon sauce. The new management accepts cash or check only and couldn't care less about how much that inconveniences their customers. Although they certainly enjoy inflating the price of their mediocre pies! It's a shame they take credit for previous owner's notoriety on their website when the new owner's recipes/methods cannot compare. We used to frequent this pie shop but I just don't think we will waste the time or money going back.

The pies here are okay, but depending on the type and flavor of your choosing, they're nothing special or anything to rave about. The crust is lack luster. Seems too thick and flavorless (should be light and a little buttery). Or should just use Graham cracker or cookie crust for other certain pies. So they don't taste right. Cream pies are more like pudding and whip cream. Not true cream. Consistency just isn't quite right. Fruit pies are the better ways to go for the pies here. Just be warned, some pies do sit out on the shelves or in the back for days (have been told by former employees).

I would give them a zero.My baby's birthday is ruined coz i asked for a birthday cake and paid days in advance only to get 4 mini cakes.Lady at the window was unapologetic and said"this is just the way he made it and said to give it to you".I asked if i could speak with the "he"she said not possible.Pretty sure they sold my baby's cake. And yes it was a whopping $66.16.

About two weeks ago I ordered an 8 slice pie sampler from them (SIXTY DOLLARS) and gave them all the flavors I wanted, telling them I would come pick it up today. They said everything was good and scheduled the order. I live two hours away, so I was getting ready to make the drive this afternoon and called them to let them know I was running about an hour behind when I said I would be there to pick it up. I was told that they could not make my order, as half of the pies I wanted in the sampler were cream pies and they had sold out of them. I was also told there was only 4 flavors of pie left to choose from for my sampler. Why would they sell out of the flavors I had scheduled to pick up if I made this order weeks in advance? They had typo'd my phone number by mistake (which I understand happens sometimes) and they had tried to call me to let me know, but they shouldn't have even had to call me. When someone reserves something from a business two weeks in advance and is told it will be ready, that place should not sell what has been reserved. That is VERY poor business practice. My family was looking forward to having that pie sampler for our Christmas eve, but we will have to go elsewhere to find a decent pie with short notice now. I get that mistakes happen, but this was just not right and very disappointing. I had them cancel my order altogether as I was not about to make that two hour drive and not get half the flavors I originally ordered. I will not be making another order like this from them in the future, as I no longer trust that I will be able to get what I ordered. I am bummed that I have to leave such a bad review because the first time I went here I really liked the pie :/

We stopped in on a whim while passing through Rolla headed to a family thanksgiving dinner today. We picked up a peach pie to take with us. It was the best pie I’ve had in awhile and everyone that had some said it was fabulous! We will be back to try other varieties when we’re in the area next!

The margaritas were very good, and I'd recommend the crab cakes.

A little locally owned, homemade pie place that also has a lunch menu. Large portions of great pie! Definitely a must stop if you’re visiting.

Best pie in a 50 mile radius! You order and go really. You can stay and eat if you like, plenty of seating. Rarely do folks stay. Quiet though if you wanna drink coffee and eat a slice.

I was very sad when I received my peanut butter pie. It was like soup. I had very little whip cream. The service was slow. The lights were cracked s d falling from the ceiling. I’ve been supporting this place for 17 years and have never had a problem.

The cherry pie was good and the chicken pot pie was good but our server was having a bad day . We was a van of 12 older ladies and a young girl was our server . She snapped at a few of the ladies and actually took the lady's piece of pie back to the kitchen and came back with it a few minutes later no explanation. I don't think the restaurant is maybe prepared to serve large groups and the server was very stressed or upset about it . The guy ( maybe the owner ) was very friendly and accommodating.

I have been going to Slice of Pie since I was a very young child. It never disappoints!! Some of our family favorites are the chocolate pie, coconut nut creme, toll house and apple crisp. If you are going to or through Rolla MO you must make this a stop. Come hungry because I am sure they only cut the pies in fourths. They are HUGE slices!!
