Went on the recommendation of a coworker. I'm glad I did. The food was delicious.When I walked in the place smelled fantastic. I believe it is a husband & wife operation. Very friendly and helpful. This is one of those places that cook only so much that when it's gone it's gone and you'll have to try again another day. I ordered a full slab of ribs. We were able to make 2 meals out of the meat. I also ordered 3 sides. The Mac & cheese (with smoked with bacon ?), Coleslaw, and green beans also with the smoked bacon ? ?. All of it was delicious. It is a nice little place to eat. We did carry out. They sever coke products. I paid $35.00 for the full slab and 3 sides. When I go back, and I definitely will, I will be ordering the brisket. Spoke to a woman who said that was all she ever order. It looked good. My coworker said the porksteaks are real good and the tips are to die for. My coworker is a regular at Big Woody's to the point they recognize her voice on the phone.. They are located in a little strip mall across from a walgrens.Enjoy!

Tried this place for the first time, I’m not a huge fan of BBQ but the apple jack pulled pork sandwich was to die for. The seasoned fries were packed up in paper bag so they were still awesome and crispy by the time I got home.

Not the best but BBQ I've had but was good... I got the pulled chicken platter and the chicken was very moist...They would not be my first choice but if I was in the area I'd definitely come again...I guess I should lie and not give an honest review by the owners comment below... that was a deal breaker for me... I'll spend my money somewhere else.... what an idiot!!!!

I have only ever ordered online and had my food delivered, but one day soon I hope to actually go in! I've eaten here around 5 times now and everything is delicious. I haven't found a BBQ place that is as good as this one around here and I've tried a lot. I now crave the brisket platter as my comfort food at least once a month.. definitely a place to check out!So far we have tried the hog balls, pulled pork, brisket, rench dip, potato salad, green beans, fries, BBQ beans, and the deep fried corn on the cob. Everything is absolutely delicious. I will continue to send my friends and family here.

This was our second time here (only because we didn't remember that we had been here before). I ordered the ribs with hog balls and fried corn. The ribs were beef ribs (instead of the baby back that are typical in a BBQ restaurant), because of this, there were more bones, cartilage and fat making eating challenging. I took a bit and hit something crunchy that basically took away my appetite. The hog balls were good, but had a slightly powdery texture that took away from the flavor. My son devoured the fried corn because he was really hungry. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich, but didn't really have much to say about it one way or another. With all the good BBQ restaurants in STL, this unfortunately isn't one of them and we won't be back.

Tiny little locally owned place. Solid BBQ, but he competition is tough with so many great places in St. Charles County. Although this place is one of my sons favorites. He gets their pulled pork sandwich every time and highly recommends it.

Hole in the wall place with a cowbell on the door. I ordered a rack of ribs to go with hogballs and sweet potatoes fries. I loved everything. If you like fall off the bone ribs then this place is for you. I do, some don't, some like to tear and pull, to each his own. Great take out place
