My favorite Mexican restaurant in all of St Charles. There's plenty of other ones but this is the only one I'll go to.

Addl always, the food and service was stellar. Normally there is a nice wait but I guess we got lucky last night! Hostess was very friendly and had no problem fulfilling my request for a booth only. The table they sat us at was very clean and neat, even the floor. We waiting less than 5 mins to get our drinks and about 19 for Reg food which wasn't bad at all. For consumption: Frozen Mango Margarita, Sangria, Shrimp Quesadilla, El Jalisco & Steak Fries. Everything was great! My only wish is that the quesadilla cheese was melted.

Food was good, but I liked the menu selection better. Stopped in for Carry-out on New Years Eve, ordered the Tilapia Cancun and the Shrimp Burrito. More than enough food in each order for one

Very family welcoming! We have family dinner here once a week and always have a great time with a party of 5 to 10
The food was good. I ordered the pollo feliz. The only complaint I had was the shredded cheese on my chicken was not melted. But the staff at El Maguey’s didn’t mind correcting that for me. The staff was friendly and were very helpful in providing quality service. The ambience was nice. They did double charge me at first though. Luckily, I caught it and my ticket was adjusted. Overall no complaints from me.

It was just ok...the salsa,good!!I thought my salad ? was religiously small...and would had preferred fajita meat ...In salad not the ground up steak ..Staff was friendlyBut waited 10 mins for my tab...after being done.

We hadn't been here in a while, like 10 years the food was every bit as good as the last time we were here. The service was on point and the place hasn't changed a bit. I had the enchiladas verde and they were awesome! The wife enjoyed her fajitas too, we won't be gone for 10 years this time.

Server huffed, puffed and acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we asked for 3 waters with a pitcher of margaritas. Slammed our glasses down hard on the table and walked away. We didn’t feel welcome and immediately left. Gave this place a few chances, but last this experience ruined it. Go to Nachos fresh mex a block away for better food and service
