I ordered 2 24-piece orders of Chicken, 2 orders of corn nuggets, and 3 large sides of mashed potatoes and gravy for a friends birthday party. I called the day before and i asked the young man on the phone questions about the order and told him the number of people I was anticipating. When I got the food home the "2 orders" of corn nuggets were divided unevenly into 1 small container and 1 bigger container with the rest of the chicken. We got 1 small container of gravy and 1 big container of gravy. When I called and spoke to the manager about what I felt I was shorted, she just argued with me that the corn nuggets were "pre-measured by weight" but that I had the two orders and that the gravy was also enough for the 3 orders of potatoes. All in all sub par chicken and sub par customer service. Not worth the money I shelled out.

I bought a 4 piece meal with several sides and only wanted 1 piece of chicken so i told the 2 employees helping me to please give the other 3 pieces of chicken to the next person in line behind me. They didnt tell her and i told her she would have 3 extra pieces of chicken that I paid for. I had to ask the employees 3 times to make sure they gave it to her ( the customer)and her child. The 4 piece meal was .50 cents more then the 1 piece . I was still working so i couldnt take it home and wanted to share it with the lady and her child. I had to ask the lady customer if they gave it to her- she said they did. Great food, Bad service. Why wouldnt they have just told the customer behind me that they were getting 3 extra pieces of chicken?? And give it to her ??

If bland is your jam this is the deep fry shack for you. The chicken is not horrible as it’s nice and crispy with a subtle flavor which could best be described as a slightly salty flavor. This is no flavor bomb. But the chicken is reasonably priced so I can se why it’s so popular with the locals as occasional fast food. The specialty sides are expensive and boast zero to no flavor unless you count lard as a flavor. We had the fried okra and which tasted just like the overpriced onion rings. The service was bad bc i forgot to ask for dipping sauce rendering the chicken nuggets bland lard balls as well.
We have used King Edwards catering sized twice now and both times the food was amazing. Not a single complaint for anyone on our staff. Thank you for the great food and great service.
