Neighbor's Mill is one of those places I've been going to since their original location in Harrison, AR and I was excited when they started to expand to Springfield. My only complaint in the difference between the Harrison and Springfield locations is that the Harrison location is much more quaint and feels like a hometown bakery, while the Springfield locations are rather industrial. This, however, does not effect their delicious food. I almost always get the cranberry turkey sandwich which is excellent and a cup of tomato soup. Something about their tomato soup is just so much more delicious than any other tomato soups out there! This time I tried the Turkey avocado sandwich, which wasn't one of my favorites as it was lacking on avocado and a bit bland, but this doesn't speak for the whole menu. Overall a great restaurant and a perfect spot for a sandwich or salad for lunch.

I’ve been here twice, once for breakfast, and once for lunch. The food has been absolutely delicious both times, and the staff was accommodating when I asked for a couple substitutions. The second time I went, everyone was polite, but the way the some of the employees spoke to me made me feel like an inconvenience. Also, I was given kalamata olives on my mandarin salad instead of mandarin oranges, so that was a fun surprise, lol. However, I understand that I went during the busy lunch hour and that I asked for some substitutions, so I didn’t take it too personally. I’ll go back again :)

Unfortunately, two times in consecutive days tried to dine here. Yesterday there were no tables open. Very crowded. We left. Today, sign on the door stated they close at 3 PM. I'd suggest folks try Queen City Deli just down the street, as we've done, OR the Grotto on Battlefield. Both are excellent places to eat and open past 3.We've eaten several times at the other Neighbor's Mill on Independence; somewhat doubtful we'll continue our patronage there. I realize there's a shortage of workers, but seriously NM folks, find a way to stay open later than 3 PM.

I can't say enough about this place and how it operates. Worth the wait in line, worth the drive over... it's a family ran-business as is my own small business. Very happy to spend money here... items you MUST order:1. the french dip... holy cow my tummy growls even when I just THINK about it.2. I purchase weekly loaves of their Bronze Honey Wheat.3. Strawberry sugar cookies are my kids' favourites.I'm glad this location closes at 3p. They need to rest and be ready to start again the next day., Plus, their other store is open until 7p.Thank you, Lauren and Cliff, for always putting so much into what you do. Best cafe in town!

Gotta be my favorite place in town easily. The staff is always nice, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the food is amazing with great prices too. Always love their choose 2 and love getting a sandwich and soup pair. Even a choose 2 with a drink doesn't even come up to $10. Never been disappointed. Highly recommend!!

She didn't need to do that.I went in to the store looking for a very specific type of bread. They did not have it. I was just going to order a cinnamon roll and go home. Instead, one of the amazing people working offered to do a special order for me to pick up the next day. I decided I could do that. Sadly, they closed at the exact time I get off work the next day. I was ready to snag my cinnamon roll in defeat. She had other plans!! She said she was going to call the other store and do the order for me. I mentioned just driving over there to get a loaf. Nay nay my friends! Not on her watch!! She called over there and had them set aside a loaf for me. I thanked her and drove over to get my challah.I know! I know! It sounds silly! And it probably is too most but to me this was huge. You see, my son has had some sensory issues all his life. One of those issues is food related. He would NEVER eat bread. Over the last couple of days he's been trying breads. He wanted bread!!! I knew he needed to try challah. I grew up all over the US and we spent a lot of time in a place that had a large Jewish population. Challah is a favorite. It's hard to find sometimes.When she went out of her way to find me a loaf of challah, I was so grateful. I'm terrible about getting people's names, so I missed hers. I wish I hadn't though. I am so grateful she did that for us.
All the food seemed very fresh. We enjoyed the BRITs we purchase to go. The service was excellent and or cashier was very helpful

Really great food & super friendly staff! We ate at the Harrison AR location on Wednesday & enjoyed it so much we stopped at the Springfield MO location on Friday while we were in town! Multiple types of fresh soup, hold & cold sandwiches on delicious homemade bread, yummy salads & desserts to die for! Our new favorite place!

The food was delicious, the time to get our order was quick. Clean and bright. I have one small criticism, it was sort of loud. I don't know what some places do but some little bit of noise softening acoustic might just make it perfect ❤
