i've tried to eat here twice but both times (years apart) when I had a question before anything else the lady with long hair at the drive-through window gets mad at me for asking her to clarify. Since I strive to eat everywhere in town this is an unusual Reaction.

Since I moved to Springfield the lack of Mexican food has been disappointing to say the least. I got this for take out the other day and eessh it was rough. I got a shredded beef burrito, a jefe burrito and a tamale. The shredded beef burrito was a disgrace. It was a giant tortilla with a small amount of meat and a ton of cheese with some sad rice and beans on the side. If that was the only thing I ordered it would have been a one star for sure. It was awful. The Jefe burrito was much better. The steak was chewy, but I enjoyed the potatoes and bacon. I think it needed something more though. I ended up putting the rice and beans on the side inside which kind of helped. The tamale may have been the worst tamale I had ever had. It tasted like it was weeks old, the edges of it were hard and crusty. I ate the whole thing trying to figure out what made it so bad.

Nope Nope Nope. saw more then one Dead roach just as i walked in.. And not one employee at the counter, the Smell alone was enough to make Me change my mind only after maybe 60 seconds at the counter waiting for an employee to come to the front and notice me..which im kinda glad nobody did! Please Don't risk the food poisoning you will probably get, trying this place.

We live 2 hours away, but Everytime I go through Springfield I have to stop. They have carne asada burritos like we had in PHX. Love that place.

Very poor quality of food. Overpriced. I got the carne asada tacos and the meat was clearly past its expiration date and overcooked. Unfortunately it didn't make the cut.
This is my go to! I miss my Mexican food from West Coast :) The El Hefe burrito is my favorite so far, and the taquitos. I love their salsas it is hot. No one compares! Strongly recommend if looking for authentic Mexican food. They only have drive through right now but I'm fine with that.

I grew up in California. I took for granted the amount of genuine Mexican food places I had to visit out there. My bones have been itching for some GOOD QUALITY Mexican and this place delivers. The chicken is amazing. I swear they nailed all the flavors that most places lack, very reminiscent of home for me. 10/10 will always order.
Menu consisting mostly of pictures? Check.Speaking Spanish in the kitchen? Check.Construction workers & landscapers? Check.This is the place. You want "authentic" Mexican street food? This is it. NOT FINE DINING, but actual west coast style tacos.This is the best I've seen in the State. I'll be back.

I'm not sure why they only have 4.1 stars but my wife and I loved the food! We went through the drive through, which understandably took longer than McDonald's because it's prepared fresh, and they were friendly. We can't wait to go again!
