I had reservations on 3/22 at 745pm for my boyfriend's birthday. I had put that it was in the notes for our reservation. I was hoping they would have brought him a special desert but they did not. I wanted it to be a surprise, and would have happily paid for it. I also requested the lounge, which I'm not positive that is where we were seated. I thought the lounge would be close to the bar. The food was amazing! Our server was also great!

We recently hosted a group business dinner for about 35 people in one of the private rooms at Char. The event planning staff were all great to work with (shout out to Lexi!) and the service during the event was excellent, but not overly formal.The food was delicious; the limited menu was a great option for our group. Everyone found something they liked with the Filet Mignon, Chicken Bijan, and Seabass options. I highly recommend Char for any private dining events.

First time there. The food was good. The dessert wasn't so good... a tiramisu custard in a chocolate bowl. The bowl was rock hard, the one spoon full of custard had so much chocolate powder I inhaled it accidentally & choked a little... Over all it was a decent experience. In my opinion not worth the money to eat there.

My wife and I visited Char Steakhouse on Christmas Eve. We ordered appetizers (oysters fresca), salads, cocktails, steak medalions and lamb shank. Everything was exceptional! Not to mention the desert! (cinamon roll cheesecake) Yumm... If you are in the Springfield area and are looking for top notch fare and service. Char is highly recommended! Daisy was our waitress and she was AWESOME! She made our holiday very special. Thanks to the Char team and Happy Holidays!

Easily the best steak I've ever had. The first bite simply melted in my mouth. The peppercorn and the sauce made it even more delectable. And the jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes had just the right amount of kick to give it that extra zing. The service was top notch, checking up on us regularly and immediately showing fulfilling any requests.
