I bought a loaf of Cinnamon Swirl bread at The 87 Diner in Boonville, Missouri. It makes the most wonderful French Toast.

I've eaten here several times, but I've only gotten the same thing each time. The food is good, but you can tell it's probably all packaged/frozen and not scratch made. I get the veggie skillet with over easy eggs and sourdough toast. Service is decent but nothing amazing. The first time I went there, I heard one of the servers or a manager (couldn't tell what position she was) talking about very inappropriate sexual things very loudly. The place didn't have a lot of people, but it wasn't a good experience. The food is alright though, if you want cheap breakfast food.

Walk in and notice a lot of tables full but it was so quiet in there, no music, no talking, it felt like we were in a library. Dirty coffee cup, with coffee stains on the outside of the cup turned me off. The waitress was friendly but she did walk by with a full pot of coffee when my cup was nearly empty. The real kicker was after paying the bill and telling the hostess have a nice day and he replies with a grunt. Terrible.

Love this place. Good home cooking and GREAT food. We love bringing our family when they visit! I recommend the chicken and waffles and then take home some of their awesome cinnamon bead is so good. They get super busy during peek hours. The food is so good though! Perfect family restaurant!

Great food and service on New Year's Eve even! Really good breakfast skillets! We'll be sure to go back the next time in town!

Hubby and I popped in after our Christmas night hotel stay. Don't hotels serve breakfast? True, but not if you sleep in. So we relied on Yelp and GPS to find something as close as possible. We needed coffee and food immediately. Not surprisingly for the holiday, the restaurant was sparsely filled. The dated decor and funky smell inside didn't match the fun outside. That, coupled with the wait to be seated and the grumpy hostess, didn't make for a good first impression. Why is the person who is greeting 'n seating acting annoyed for being interrupted by people coming in or calling to see if they're open? Perspective! The coffee was good and the food was cooked well. It wasn't anything special, but breakfast needs to be standard and predictable, not special. It fit the bill. It's the comfort of knowing an over medium egg is the same no matter what town you're in. It's dependable. The corned beef hash was from a can (which hubby liked), the gravy from a mix (per hubby), but the bacon was crisp, the eggs perfect, and the hash browns crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. That being said, if the hostess had kept her bad mood to herself and if the restaurant had a clean smell it would have gotten another star.

We come here every time we are in town a couple days. The food is always very good .... especially the pork tenderloin. The servers are very friendly and working hard for us. Today we had breakfast: breakfast is hard to mess up, but also hard to make really great. The came real.close to great with the west coast Benedict and tenderloin & eggs we had today. The somewhat grumpy cashier didn't sour our great breakfast today. We'll certainly. E back again.

This restaurant was terrible. The waitress was cold and indifferent and the cashier was down right rude. The food was just so so and the price of it was to high. There are to many restaurants in town to waste your money on this one.

Love this place!! Lunch menu is awesome!! Clean place with good home cooking. I love the healthy salad they offer everyday at lunch!! Servers are excellent!! This place offers breakfast anytime and it's delicious!! Menu is diverse--it's like reading a good long book!! If you like simple home cooked meals at a low price, this is the place for you!! Casual dining at its best!!!!

We ate lunch here following our visit to the Aquarium. What a nice family restaurant. The waitress was top notch and the food was yummy. We split a hamburger and the fried zucchini and left too stuffed to eat pie. But we did get one "for the road". It was delicious, too!

My family and I have started making this stop a tradition when in the Springfield/Branson area! Everything we've ever tried has been absolutely delicious! From the homemade cinnamon swirl bread/French toast to the country fried pork tenderloin.... you cannot go wrong! You must stop! Take home some of their homemade breads also!
