Oh. My. Goodness. I just ordered here 30 minutes ago and had to review immediately. I never knew chicken could taste so good! I'm in town for a conference, and I wanted to find somewhere to eat before I got to my hotel, so I searched Yelp for somewhere close. The reviews seemed kinda mixed, but it was only 5 minutes from my hotel, so I gave it a shot. From the outside, this place is very unassuming. It's located in a strip mall on a busy street. No seating on the inside-carry out only. There was a polite young man who was taking orders. The menu is amazing! There were many delicious-sounding choices, which made it difficult to choose. I opted for the smoked chicken Philly, and it was ready in less than 5 minutes. Despite having to take the time to drive back to the hotel, check in, park, and get my luggage to the 4th floor before digging in, my food was still over-the-top delicious. It would have been even more amazing had I eaten it while it was still hot. All the flavors were on-point, and there was so.much.flavor. Eating is literally my favorite thing to do while traveling, and I try to stick to local joints. This place did. It disappoint, and I'm sad I will only be here for the weekend. I will definitely be back at least one more time before heading home. I want to try the St Louis style smoked chicken fried rice, but I enjoyed my sandwich so much that I may have to get that again. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! Updated review: I went back today to try the smoked chicken fried rice, and it was ok, but I would not have come back if I had gotten this first. It definitely needed some veggies or a sauce option-it was a little plain. I'm keeping my review at 5 stars because the menu is creative and the smoked chicken Philly was the bomb.

It truly was Love at First Bite! As a ten year vegan who grew up in St Louis, I never thought I would eat a St. Paul sandwich again. My teenage years (I'm looking at you old Mai Lee) flooded back to me as I bit into my first St Paul sandwich in 20 years!!! I cant wait to try the vegan chicken sandwich next time or the vegan fried rice. The owner/staff were very nice and got me my food quick!

Today was my first time trying Love @ First Bite and I was disappointed. I ordered the loaded salmon waffle fry with a lemon pepper salad. The salad was loaded with tomatoes, that I asked not to be included. The salad already had dressing on it, but it was still very dry. The loaded fry was just a complete miss for me.I hear good things all the time, but I'll stick to the basics next time.

The impossible patty melt was amazing. If you are a vegetarian I would recommend this over their vegetarian version of a chicken sandwich. I also tried their St. Louis style fried rice impossible. I wished they didn't used a tad less salt. Other than that it was good. The kids that served did so with a sense of pride that they were contributing to their parents or family business. They were respectful, something lacking in todays world. If I ever go to St. Louis again I would have to get another impossible patty melt

Ordered via Uber eats from the airport. Ordered fried rice and 2 drinks. Only the fried rice arrived! Very disappointed! Upped to 4 stars as the fried rice was good.

I’ve seen this place almost every day for a year and ordered for the first time through DoorDash yesterday. I wish I did sooner. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the hot chicken fries and cauliflower bites are the best-tasting foods I have ever had. Every bite was PACKED with flavor. It was like a punch to the mouth. The food arrived very quickly, and it was still hot when I dove in. I’m going to try and come in sometime to soak in the whole experience, but I see myself ordering here weekly, at least. The ‘got it out of the mud’ fries and the St. Louis style extra crispy wings were fantastic, too.I can’t recommend this place enough.

Update May 13th 2022- RED FLAG they generically responded to my review LYING saying they offered a remake. I never even called to complain I just took it as a loss and left a review, the order also wasn't in my name, it was in my husband's. So the fact that they are posting these responses like they really tried to make a wrong in to a right is really disappointing. Definitely will not be back nor recommend.~I wanted to love this place so bad. They were highly recommended from people that don't even live locally, they were literally on my bucket list to try.. everything I ordered was a "miss" for me Henny wings were hardly "glazed" mostly naked chicken with parsley, the chicken sandwich I ordered was not the one that was advertised. It had popcorn chicken on it but advertised as "smoked" .. also they slapped old lettuce on the sandwich.. I only drove 2 minutes back to work and the lettuce was completely translucent. Maybe I got the wrong thing or maybe just what they keep responding with under each negative review "not everything is for everyone" my tastebuds definitely didn't "fall in love" or "make a love connection" as they keep saying. We ordered anyway despite the negative reviews but now we know for ourselves

I come here no less than once a month. The VEGAN St. Paul is what sold me. I've had lobster fried rice and the fried lobster tail fries. In telling you...BOMB!!! Today I ordered the steak frites! I'mcurrently in the middle of eating them and stopped to write this review!!! That's how good they are. But honestly that's not why I wrote this review. I wrote this review because of the customer service I got today! I called to order and no one picked up. It was close to closing time so I figured that was why. Then my phone rang and it was love at first bite asking if someone had just called! I was so surprised but happy! He took my order and it was hot and ready when I got there! Never gotten bad service when I've come into the store so I wasn't surprised but I love that they go above and beyond for their customers! I'll be back..per usual! Lol

I gave this place FOUR TRIES and it was a huge mistake each time. Fortunately, there are other black-owned vegan places to support. This certainly isn't one of them.

I knew from jump they was finna be fire. I called to place my order and I could hear LA4ss playing in the back (StLouis rapper if you ain't hip) that's automatic 3 stars. So I got a whole order of chicken fried rice. Man look. That rice was so damn good I bout cried. Rice was that perfect brown, not too light, not too dark. Not too greasy either. And they ain't stingy with the chicken like them Chipotle employees be. They make the food fresh so you'll have a little wait but worth it. Outside of the food everything else was straight too. They had the parking lot jumping. It's kinda small in there so you probably go have to sit in your car or wait you order there. Employees were hella cool too.

Today was my first visit. The kid at the counter taking orders and I do mean a kid, was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I was impressed. However the music was a little loud I could barely hear him and vice versa. The food? You will want to try everything on the menu.It was taco Tuesday. I got beef. I also got the rib eye half order of rice, and 2 chicken plates. Buffalo and honey lemon pepper. It was the kind of food that definitely hit that spot! I have been yearning for something authentic. I wish my rice had more onion, and the taco was ground beef But overall…. I will definitely be returning!! I’m coming for the vegan meals, cauliflower, melts, and Philly steaks, the salads, and salmon. I had hoped for a sampler. But they don’t have one. Definitely give it a try. I doubt if anyone would be dissatisfied.
