Restaurant Review: Marco Polo ?️Nestled in a quaint setting, Marco Polo offers a delightful dining experience. The impeccable service stood out, elevating the overall atmosphere. The appetizer showcased a commendable start, setting the stage for what was to come. However, it was the main course that stole the spotlight—fabulous flavors and expertly crafted dishes left a lasting impression. While the restaurant might be deemed "decent," I wholeheartedly recommend Marco Polo for those seeking a tasteful culinary adventure.

The food and service were excellent. Each dish was very creative and well balanced. The vegetable risotto with General Tao’s marsala chicken was amazing. And the grits with the Mongolian ribs was really good too. Great place with great service. I’m honestly surprised it isn’t busier. It was almost empty on a Thursday night.

Went for the first time last night. The menu is really different. Sounds like some strange food combos but I bet they are all delicious. I love having something different to try and not some dumb chain restaurant, which seems to be all St. Joe has to offer for the most part. I like the atmosphere, it is sort of pub like, I really liked the little secluded wooden booth with high walls we were given. I had the shrimp and grits, very tasty. Shrimp was done just right, although it only came with 4 shrimp. For the price I felt there should be at least 6. My husband had the special which was like a chicken chimichanga only wrapped and fried in pasta dough instead of tortilla. I don't remember what the sauce was but I had a taste and I loved it. It too was a bit of a sticker shock on the price, but even McDonalds gives me that these days, so why not get something that's actually good? I would recommend you give it a try. The service was good and the owner (at least that's who I believe he was) was very friendly. He and the waiter made sure everything was to your liking.

This was a fantastic find in Saint Joe. It will be on our list of regular date spots! Our food was beautifully presented and prepared with excellence. We had a great conversation with our host, and the environment was friendly. The ambiance is unique and rustic. We will be back!

We were so excited to try this place. It did not disappoint. My initial plate was something that I did not care for, just not what I was expecting. I would not have requested something different, but the waiter and the owner offered to bring me another entree . The customer service was exemplary. I had the General Tso's Chicken Marsala and it was absolutely amazing. The flavor profile was magnificent. My husband had the shrimp and grits. Let's just say there was not a crumb left. After having our main courses that were perfection we couldn't not have dessert. The bread pudding was heaven on a plate. So glad we took a chance and tried this place. Can't wait to go back!

A delightfully different menu that you would see in KC, not expected in Saint Joseph, but delicious through all courses! The ambiance is that of like a pub in Europe. If you want to try something different and delicious, give Marco Polo a try. You won't regret it.

Walked in on a Sunday evening. Over half the tables were empty. I was greeted with the question "do I have a reservation?" When I said no I was told "well bud you're not going to eat here tonight." When I inquire about over half the restaurant being empty I was told "it's just the way it is". The place might have good food or awful food, but I will never find out.

Adventurous menu that is absolutely DELICIOUS and fun! The owner is extremely hospitable and accommodating, always answering our questions and even teaching us interesting things. I love to learn, so it's a rewarding experience for me, and one that doesn't have to be humored, but he always doIs. St. Joe desperately needs places like Marco Polo! Please visit and try new, flavor-forward food. See you soon, Marco Polo!
