The band was excellent, but I wished they had more choices of beer and nibbles...

We visited this location as something to do while visiting from out of town. Although the bar is nice, we went to listen to music also. When we got there, we were told the kitchen hadn't been open for over a year. This is quite misleading considering "soups" is in the name. We left and went across the street to eat then returned. The hostess was gracious enough to save our tables (we had prepaid for entry). The last 30-40 minutes was gospel music. This is not a bad thing, however, that's not what we came for. We left and went back across the street to better music.

Great staff, fun atmosphere, and great music. I went here on a Wednesday when they have a sort of “open mic” that I can only compare to going down to Louisiana to hear everyone jam together. They do not have food on Wednesdays but you can bring in outside food. They also have cocktails, mocktails, THC drinks, CBD drinks, and soft drinks. Definitely a place I’d revisit for a good time.

BB's is a classic blues club, with a really terrific setup. However it seems to be lacking on the organization and promotion front. We went to see a band that we knew from Memphis... And it was practically like they didn't exist and they weren't coming online. They weren't even listed on the website.. social media.. anything. So because the band had posted about it, we came, and when I walked in I asked the very friendly bartender about how the set was going to run. Because there was multiple artists that evening is what we understood. They had no idea about the programming at all...that was fascinating to us.Also, the kitchen was closed. So no food.We had a good time after all and the music was great of course. But you couldn't help but feel like things were running a little haphazardly. It has all the bones to be a really great institution representing the best of the St Louis blues scene. But it just feels like a lot is lacking and it could use stronger management.

Deak Harp all the way from Clarksdale Ms. Great venue to see musicians play

Im sooo disappointed. This venue is just too small and ghetto. The kitchen didnt open up until 9:30pm and the event started at 8pm. I had to order Imo's like a few other people. Then to top it off a waiter spilled a drink on me and my hair. I don't even like the smell or taste of liquor. Don't come here with any expectations or you will be dissatisfied.

While in St Louis, my wife and I had a free evening and found BB's on the internet. We were able to get tickets and really enjoyed the Jefferson Brothers show.
