Cute and rustic vibe. Small team that makes all dishes to-order. Nice wine selection. I had the bruschetta and it was a pleasure.

One of our favorite places in stl. Great wine list, yummy food (mac and cheese every time for me), and kind and knowledgeable staff. Tastings every Monday night, new handmade pasta every Tuesday, and monthly family dinners. Non-pretentious and relaxing. Great place for a date night or catching up with friends!

I was just the DD and picked up my girl and her friend. They said it was really good, though.

I’ll probably finish writing my novel because of Black Mountain. Perfect spot to relax and get some work done on a Sunday. It’s not a laptop spot per they don’t make it weird if it’s not too crowded. Great select of wines, great fries - feels like you’re in northern france or Belgium or even central west end at duffs or coffee cartel (iykyk)… extra bonus for the literal wood fire aromas soothing everyone’s soul

My new favorite wine bar! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines and they always have new specials to try. Extensive list. And all the food I've tried between my and my friends orders has been delicious too! It's hard to find that combination.

My brother had suggested this spot as it has been on his list for a while, so we planned a day date. It's on the border of midtown and CWE in the middle of a very unique neighborhood - we live in the area and I was so infatuated with the buildings and homes! A very pretty spot. The place itself has a cool aesthetic, kinda old farmhouse/rustic but not in the modern style that people are making their kitchens like. I'm talking old school, old barn with stained glass and real wooden character. Very cool. I felt like I was on the east coast in an old pub. The service was great, it wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon so I would definitely recommend that time. They had so many great, unique wines to try. Ones I had never heard of. The bartender was also super knowledgeable and helpful. I love that they have half bottles to split! The food was also good. We got the goat cheese tart which was super unique with a potato base instead of pastry. The Mac n cheese was phenomenal, so cheesy and flavorful. The poutine was traditional - if you're looking for the Americanized poutine with green onions and cheese sauce and BBQ and crazy toppings, this isn't it. This is true Canadian poutine. Crispy fries, brown gravy, and cheese curds. Definitely hits the spot. We will absolutely be back, it was a great experience for us.

Joe is the BEST! We just rolled into town from Chattanooga found Black Mtn Wine House and had amazing shareable plates. We sampled so much wonderful plated deliciousness! You have to have his grilled cheese on Joe’s homemade sourdough bread and spicy marinara!!!! The T&J salad so good! The wine is so so good, Joe’s recommendation was spot on and his subtle addition of an Italian bubbles dream made this a night we will never forget. (Side note: I’m driving my baby to Co Springs to live and this was a perfect evening with Joe - he’s lovely AND hilarious!) Thank you Joe! We will hopefully be back so much sooner than later.

There are few nicer ways to spend an evening than sharing a bottle of wine with a friend in a cozy wine bar with delicious bites of food to nibble. What’s not to love about Black Mountain - friendly owner, great curated selection of wines and a cozy atmosphere that included a wood burning stove / fireplace. Worth visiting for sure ?

We stopped here for my wife's birthday with a group of our friends. The building was very historic with the paintings and the foundation. The wine was great and our waiter offered great wine suggestions for the ladies. As for the food, everyone was pleased with their order. We ordered the Spicy Meatballs, Charcuterie Board, Poutine and the Olives. If you need a place to stop to grab a glass a wine before dinner or happy hour this is the spot!!

We love to come here and sit at the bar. It’s a low key, relaxing place with good small plates along with the wine.
