So, visiting Brass Bar has been on my list for a long time and I finally got to go last night! The atmosphere there is really nice, great date spot aesthetic for sure. It’s fake and candle lit, created a very intimate environment.I ordered the Stonewall Spritzer and the How Very for drinks. Both took a few sips for my taste buds to acclimate but afterwards there were really good and strong! I definitely want to go back and try the full range of the cocktails!For food I had ordered the bistro steak and frites. The fries were really good and the steak was good too, though overcooked a tad. However, customer service where this bar soars into one of my top spots in STL. After I had told my server that it was over cooked a little bit, he made sure that that didn’t ruin my experience (although it wouldn’t have anyway, I still finished it!). They ended up taking it off my bill, that was super unexpected and I really appreciate them making sure that I was happy with my experience. I will definitely be back for that sort of hospitality alone!Lastly, I ordered the blueberry baked Alaska off of their dessert menu and it was FANTASTIC! So good, I would definitely come just to order that and cocktails alone hahahaYou should definitely check out Brass Bar if you get a chance. I really enjoyed my time there!

So much fun packed into such a small venue. May want to come a little early for a seat. Bartenders are creative and knowledgable. Tasty, but elevated "bar bites" make it easy to keep cocktails flowing. I enjoyed all the drinks that were made for me specially. Very cozy atmosphere. Will be back

My friends and I were lucky enough to sit in the upstairs dining table room for an early dinner. Such a cozy and chic ambience, excellent cocktails, and solid food options. Enjoyed the mussels and the fries (they were really good)

We celebrated our first anniversary at Taste and it was a perfect way to begin our celebration. The staff was so kind and provided great recommendations for drinks and food. The atmosphere is romantic and perfect for a date night or meeting with friends. They even offered us complimentary glasses of champagne when we first sat down and gelato later as a first anniversary gift. Every cocktail we had was delicious and unique - unlike anything we've had elsewhere. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Can't recommend this place enough...we will be back!

So glad taste has opened back up! We went for my birthday once again and it was a perfect night. The host was great, the waitress was great. Service was simply excellent all around. We shared a few drinks (all delicious and beautifully presented). We split a few dishes -the chicken wings, the crudité, and the pork belly. There wasn't a single weak spot- each dish was excellent. I often make my own pickles at home but the plate of perfectly blanched green beans, a slightly curry flavored collection of carrots, spicy bread and butter pickles and fried artichokes came together so well. It was a great variety of flavor and texture. The pesto style dip served with was simple and a nice compliment. The chicken wings were huge! Big portion with a perfect crunch and wonderful flavor. However I was grateful I was eating with my partner. These are tricky to eat in any graceful way so maybe not a first date order. The pork belly was cooked so well and the glaze on it was also so so tasty. I loved the pickled banana peppers and onions that came with. It was a great contrast to the rich pork belly. They kindly brought out a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle. It was so sweet. The dessert was a lemon gelato (maybe ice cream?) and was tart, sweet and a great finish to our meal. They didn't rush us at all and made sure we were comfortable with our table upon arrival (inside, outside, our pandemic nerves were handled well). Last note because I just can't help myself from sharing...The table next to us was a bachelorette party and the bride threw up all over the table at about 6:30. The staff was so kind to her and accommodating to us. They offered to let us switch tables but thankfully we had finished up. They let us sign the check outside and I was very grateful (cause stinky). I was really impressed with the way they handled that messy situation. Welcome back Taste! I can't wait to return.

Super glad that Taste is back after more than one year of close due to Covid! The bartender's choice cocktail was super fun that you can choose the spirits and flavors you like and they would just make the magic happen! Fries is our all time favorite! The best we've ever have and a must for every visit! The ice box pie were very special and delicious too
