We visit Caeser Supermarket occasionally when looking for Mediterranean spices, but have never found the restaurant open. This time we were visiting and ensured to call to see if it was and it indeed was. We were very excited given the reviews have raved about their shawarmas. We had a little bit of waiting, but we were super excited to have the shawarmas. We called for the Arab ones and behold they were huge. The picture is of one shawarma, but is it worth the hype? Nope! The cook is warm, kind, and friendly. However the shawarma itself didn't have the seasoning we were hoping for. The chicken wasn't as stuffed in the pita bread, the vegetables weren't as pickled and the fries were fresh, but aren't as crispy. The sauces maybe worth trying, but again not amazing. The mango sauce tastes like Indian pickles and the Toom (garlic sauce) is rather sweet. We were hoping to have a strong pungent garlic sauce that we get with Al Baik Shawarmas in Saudi (the original shawarma place). We tried the hot sauce and it's kinda similar to the buffalo sauce that has a stronger vinegar base. The date sauce wasn't great either, it doesn't quite fit with what you order though maybe some may like it. Personally, it wasn't our go to.The quest is on and we are desperate to find a good shawarma place, but this one definitely isn't in our top ten favorites.

The best mediterranean food you can find in St. Louis. Especially the shawerma, so good and so delicious. Professional and so friendly staff makes you feel like you are eating at home. The grocery part of the store is full of so many variety of eastern and international food items that I can't even remember it all. 100% recommend this place.

I love the fresh pita bread. I hope the owner would smile or greet his customers so it would lift up the store vibe. Price is very affordable. I would come back here!
