Got reservations here before the closing and it was super loud and very full of people but a happy place. Our appetizer was this eggplant dip with mint and it was the best thing we had there. The chicken was a bit dry and the rice didn't have flavor but we added butter and it was ready to go! The koubodeh was the most flavorful and juicy. Used to eat at Garson in Houston for Persian food a lot so my expectation was very different but the food was still good.

Love the koubedeh and biryani. This place has been an institution on south grand, with many fine drinks and meals shared by friends. Completely looking forward to the new updates.

Great food and even better cocktails! The falafel platter was delicious and a good option for vegetarians.

I have invited many of my friends to this place over the course of years. The food is great and the owner, Ashraf, is a wonderful hostess. However, this last time I was there, I was not received well by the manager. It ended up a total embarrassment for me and my company. And more important, I was clearly overcharged by the manager. Of course I didn’t want to create a scene before my friends’ eyes, but it didn’t sit with me well. We ordered smashed eggplant, two shallot yogurt, and a combo of kabob for the table. The kabob plate contained four “half” kabob skews and only one half skew of chicken. We were charged 40 plus for this!!! Terrible billing this time!! Also we ordered yogurt drink but we were not served!

Highly recommend their lamb biryani and garlic chicken, the meat is so tender and flavorful! also got their cabbage rolls and walnut olive feta dip which were good but the meat was a lot better. The feta dip came with crispy pita chips, it was good but a pretty small portion for the price. This place is associated with the gin room and you can order off their menu which is an added plus! Their kitchen closes pretty early-at 8:30 every night including weekends

We had a somewhat larger gathering of 16 people. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming. The food was amazing and the drinks... O my gosh the drinks were phenomenal.Natasha was personally making sure everything was just right. She was genuinely sharing a part of herself with every dish that was set out.Thank you so much for making our celebration so much more special.

The ambiance is so unique that makes you feel in a different land.I loved the food. The samosas and lentil soup as appetizers were just perfect.I had the veggie trio with Hummus Baba Ghanouj and falafels, with their signature bread! Other in my party tried the chicken and said it was perfectly done. The grilled tomatoes were a hit!Highly recommend to try this amazing place

The food is fantastic - good to see Eater got something right in their top 26 spots in St. Louis. The Gin Room's cocktails and knowledgeable bartenders (yeah Kyle!) and the staff are second to none.

Wonderful food! Best shish kabob I've ever had, and I had no idea rice could be cooked that perfectly. They also have a fun menu of tasty cocktails. Lovely experience all around.

I got my food to go, however, I can't wait to go back and eat at the actual restaurant... It is very cute and cozy! I got the eggplant pomegranate, walnut olive feta dip, and falafel platter. I really enjoyed the walnut olive feta dip! It was delicious! The falafel was perfectly crispy and cooked so well on the inside, the rice was nicely seasoned. Their dipping sauces for the falafel were also good, but they also just tasted so good with the feta dip.

This is a very special restaurant to us to begin with (my partner and I had our first date here ) but this place just keeps growing on me. They have amazing vegan options and a non-alcoholic beverage list!! They are always so accommodating and polite and nothing you ask will be a burden. Our server, Layla, was wonderful and a genuine person. Thank you guys for being so amazing! We’ll be back VERY soon ?

Want good Mediterranean food and craft cocktails, this is the place to be. I love all their Gin cocktails living to the name of being a Gin bar. Good is exotic and I tried their hummus and fish biriyani!!
