Cocina Latina, spearheaded by Chef Maritza Rios, is a Central West End spot. Riso’s menu reflects a fusion of Latin flavors from her Peruvian roots. It’s a cozy setting with dark wooden tables and colorful upholstery. The restaurant exudes creativity with all the colorful art on the walls. Rios's clever incorporation of paintings transforms the dining space into a Latin-inspired art gallery. We had a little bit everything including the ceviche, Jalea fried fish dish, the mahi mahi stew like dish, shrimp fried rice and tostones. All were perfectly prepared. I just love Peruvian food.

Cocina Latina is a MUST TRY! The laidback atmosphere is the perfect spot to get delicious and authentic South American food. The staff is extremely helpful with recommendations and food allergies. My favorite dishes: Ceviche, Empanadas Colombianas, Lomos Saltados, Aji De Gallina**The Aji De Gallina was the table’s favorite dish!!Be sure to try a Pisco Cocktail!

They need to improve a lot in the flavors. The salted noodles seemed like a vinegar soup, very unpleasant to the palate, the chicken chili had no spirit or character, in general the food lacks character, passion, the chef must be motivated to love what he does, it is about one of the best meals in the world and you have to live up to it, motivate your cooks to work with passion. Peruvian food is a mixture of flavors that are made with love and passion. Come on, it can be done ? ? ? ?.

Food is overpriced for quality that was received. $8 for 2 oz of sauce, small serving of rice. I understand keeping expensive portions like meat reasonably sized but fries and rice are cheap and bulk up meals. Definitely too small to share. Quality and portion size has gone down over the past few years. Last time we ordered the rice was stale and we only got 4 fries with our Lomo :( customer service is consistently horrible and the server is a jerk every time??? Food used to keep us coming back for being the only option in STL city but won’t anymore. Save your money and get Peruvian food from Jalea in st Charles instead. The photo attached is $40+ worth of food.Dietary restrictions: Paleo friendly modifications possible , limited DF and would not risk gluten free celiac

This establishment epitomizes the essence of Peruvian cuisine. While the quality of the food is excellent, there is room for improvement in the service department. The ambiance exudes tranquility and warmth, contributing to a pleasant dining experience.

To call this a Lomo Saltado is disrespectful. Anyone who knows peruvian food would agree. Got it and looked so empty and dull, without any real flavor. Should not be $24, meat portion was ok and the quality was average, no potatoes whatsoever, and the saltado sauce was bland... if you eat peruvian food regularly, I would not recommend coming here.

I went to the restaurant with family, the service was not good, several items were missing from the menu, the portion of the paisa tray was very small, only one menu option, the meat was a little tough

To begin with, the service leaves a lot to be desired, the waiter is very unfriendly and the welcome makes you feel as if you were going to ask for the food as a gift, the drinks are very expensive $23.85 for 3 drinks, the food is very dry and the rice was raw, for To top it all off, they add the tip to the ticket $22.66 when the truth is that he doesn't deserve it because of his unfriendly attitude, and we were only 3 adults and a girl, just now I see that they add it for 5 people or more, I don't recommend this place even for service Not because of the food, it is the worst place I have ever eaten, and the prices are very high for such bad food.

The food is raw, the rice and pork rinds, the water costs $7 and is very small, the service is terrible, the waiter seems to have a hard time working and the tip is charged 20% of the total without asking you, it is the worst place I have ever eaten, I do not recommend this place for nothing once again the service is

I’m have Peruvian, and spent a lot of my childhood in Peru. If you don’t like this place, you don’t like authentic Peruvian food. From anticuchos to ceviche, this place is the real deal. Prices are a little steep, but you’re not going to beat this for real Peruvian food anyhwere else, now that Mango is gone.

Love this place in CWE! I always pick-up food so I can't speak to the in-person dining experience but when I've stopped in to pick up my order they have been really attentive. The restaurant is also very cute. The real star for me is always the food. My go to order includes: Colombian Empanadas, Jalea, and the Tallarin Verde with steak. The portion on the main dish and Jalea are great but the empanadas are on the smaller end. Can't wait to be back!

I visited Cocina Latina with a small group of friends who were in town visiting from Columbia. They found this spot and were super excited to take me to this restaurant. I ordered the Bendeja Paisa, which is a large portion, much larger than I thought. But it's delicious, especially the chicharrón! And the fried egg is such a perfect compliment. This is definitely a meal to eat if you need to sober up, lol! I finished my meal with an order of the alfajores cookies. They're buttery and caramely and oh so delicious! I think my mouth just watered a lil bit thinking about them. Please visit, you'll enjoy the drinks, the service, the food and if you score a table by the window, a little bit of people watching never hurts.
