Best Mexican food you can find anywhere in St. Louis. It's such a hidden gem. Everything was made fresh and homeade.

Good food but $14 for potato tacos with no sides? I pay $14 for a similarly sized entree with sides at El Burro Loco and they’re open much later/safer area/better atmosphere. I don’t understand why restaurant owners think it’s okay to charge the same amount for a vegetarian option when it’s not even a protein.

If you're looking for genuine Mexican cuisine that won't dent your budget, this is the place for you. The wait staff was friendly and provided helpful suggestions for the menu. I went for my favorite, the asada tacos, and they were truly delicious. The salsa was also noteworthy. I intend to return and explore more items on the menu. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.

The restaurant's main appeal is in its daily specials, which are fairly authentic, its cemitas, regional Mexican sandwiches and its weekend barbacoa plate. In general I found this place to have fairly authentic Mexican fare.

Best Mexican food in St Louis. A step above the Cherokee places. Get a horchata or tamarindo in a huge cup. Check the chalkboard for fresh specials. Sketchy corner, minimal ambiance. Very friendly owners.

The food was very delicious, my wife and I ordered the machetes, some pressed chicharrón tacos, we traveled about 40 minutes to try the food, I really recommend it, the food was very delicious.

This place has to have the best tacos I've tried in St Louis! They are well priced, prepared, and proportioned. I initially ordered three like usual, but these were so good I ordered another 2! The toritillas are well cooked and lightly greased while the carne asada had a slight char, but still tender. The whole taco experience was tasty, with a slight crisp to the meat and balanced by the fresh cilantro and onions. I have to come back and try the other dishes because they all looked amazing. I'll definitely be bringing friends to experience this incredible food!

Most authentic I have tried in STL. They have a ton of stuff on their menu that I haven’t seen at other Mexican restaurants. The Al pastor was the best I’ve had so far. I really appreciated the authentic atmosphere of the restaurant as well. I’m already thinking about when I can go back!
