The food first because that is why we all go out right. My husband is not adventurous so he jad a plate of eggs. We asked if they were cracked scrambled. The Waiter said yes. If they were, then they were beaten to yellow all over. They looked like boxed eggs. The taste was weird they had a flavor. I think they were cooked on a griddle where some other stuff was cooked and there was a lot of grease on them. $5.50 Pancakes. I found them good. My husband said they were dry. 3- $15. They did have real syrup I think. And blackberry jam. My favorite. And butter. I had a honey hot chicken sandwich $16. It was ok. It was two thighs, and steak fries. They were greasy. But crunchy I liked them. The chicken was sweet but not too hot. Now the service: the waiter/waitress was VERY kind she/he was attentive, she/he helped us with the QR code, answered our questions, made sure we had coffee, got our food out. I went in to pay at the end of our breakfast because we were in a hurry. He didn't ask about our food but I am guessing it's bc you pay in advance unless you are like us! Ambience: the house next door is awful. I am surprised the city hasn't posted it. The area is up and coming. It's trying to gentrify.

Overall a very solid brunch. I had the breakfast frito pie which was very yummy, mildly spicy but not over the top. My wife had the pancakes and jam (and was nice enough to share some) which was delicious. Nice coffee selections. Very friendly service. Ordering is automated with a QR code to your phone, which I don't prefer, but I'm sure saves some staffing costs. The spot only has 10-12 tables but was very comfortable. We definitely want to go back!

Absolute best breakfast. All food is ruined after eating here. Every single thing our group ordered was the best we'd ever had. The pancakes. The potatoes. The jam. The eggs. The TOAST. How is the toast so amazing??? We need to take on part time jobs in order to eat here as often as we'd like. 10/10.

I have gone here twice in the last month or so... the food was so good the first time I had to go back! The pancakes were very unique, I've never had any like them and I'm in love. I don't do spicy food so I was nervous about the Hot honey chicken, but it wasn't too spicy, and it was delicioussss. Tender, juicy, flavorful.. the Line Cook special was just fine... I felt like compared to the other food, the chili on it wasn't bad, just didn't stand out.. not pictured, the breakfast po boy was delish! The Gumbo and Grits was by far my favorite, unfortunately it was a limited time special, so they didn't have it the next time we went! But the new special was Pork Steak and Dirty Grits which was also so so delicious. So much flavor! It's a small restaurant, not too noisy, great for casual breakfast.

Grand Pied was my first stop in St. Louis after picking up our rental car and driving over from the airport. We came right around noon and the wait for a table was about an hour. I really like that the online waitlist keeps track of how many parties are ahead of you as well as wait-times. While you're waiting, definitely head over to the liquor store down the street and pick up some booze as its BYOB. The most popular combo seemed to be bringing your own bottle of champagne and either bringing along a jug of orange juice, or ordering a carafe of orange juice at the restaurant. By the time we were finally seated, everyone was starving. We each ordered our own entrees and shared a platter of three of their pancakes. I got the Hot Honey Fried Chicken plate which came with two pieces of chicken thighs. While the chicken was not the juiciest piece of chicken I've ever had, I really enjoyed the outside coating on the chicken which was perfectly fried and had just the right balance of sweet and savory. The pancakes that were shared are next level. Never in my life have I had pancakes this fluffy before. I really loved the whipped cream that comes with the stack of pancakes and would recommending smothering that on along with the jam. Service here is top-notch as well. If you only have one opportunity for brunch, you must try out Grand Pied. Definitely order the beignets if you're able to get them because they sold out when we tried to order them later in the day close to closing.

I woke up craving pancakes and my husband found a post about Grand Pied having the best in the city. I had never heard of it but the reviews were good so we got on the waitlist (clutch) and headed down. The second we walked in, Knuck if You Buck was BLASTING and I knew we were in for a treat. I got the pancakes and my husband got a sandwich with potatoes and a side of grits. Now, these pancakes are absolutely ridiculous. They're thick as hell (maybe 3/4 thick) and are lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the butter and syrup just make them the perfect bite. Like when you have a grilled cheese that's the perfect combo of salty/greasy/soft/crispy/melty, but sweet. The grits were also amazing and the potatoes were perfectly crispy and topped with fresh herbs which really elevated a simple side to the next level. Bonus: They have a sort of hot sauce "library" with probably 15 different hot sauces you can try as you please. I was dancing the whole time I was eating because it was so delicious and so relaxed and fun. My husband already asked if we can go next weekend!

Really fun place! Pancakes were excellent- some of the best I have ever had. My husband had a slinger which was fine and really enjoyed the cold brew coffee. Really unique place, and service was super fast and friendly.

Got on the waiting list online then received a text 5 minutes later saying I was removed. Called the number and got a recording. I was traveling 30 minutes to get there so we just decided against it. Looks like it would have been nice. We’ll never know.

“if you want the toppings on the side, order the kids pancakes” how are you going to be this snide about breakfast…

I rarely give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. That being said, my entire experience was amazing! They remember what great service and a well-prepared meal mean. There was thought, time, and care taken with my food all for my eating experience.Very nicely done. For me personally you get 4¾ ?
