PROS: We overall had a great wedding reception. The staff was very friendly and communicative. I liked the beer and wine selection for the open bar. The staff also did most of the setup and will bus the tables. I also liked the table layout. The base price is pretty good too for such a nice venue - includes buffet, open beer/wine bar, bussing, and basic table decor. We had about 120 people, and only used about half our budget which was half the national average budget (there's some math for you). Would recommend this venue.CONS: Some important information wasn't internally relayed to the actual coordinator working that night. Including, we didn't have any gluten free food like we were supposed to have. Just disappointing because my husband and I talked to the head planner several times about this beforehand. I'd recommend having at least a brief call the week of your event with the coordinator that will be working at your event time - if that's allowed.Updated to shorten 9/20

My colleague recommended them and I'm so glad she did. This was for a work event with around 60 college students and faculty. I had a few ideas of which food I wanted based on their catering menu, but Dan made some great suggestions that I had not thought of. Additionally, he covered all the details that our event venue didn't even mention to me. For example, he asked how I would be playing music and I had no idea. He told me the options provided by the venue and recommended types of music that would be good for this type of event. Note that the venue I used was not associated with his catering company - he was just being nice and helpful. He was also very easy to get in contact with. I have definitely worked with other event-related services that are hard to reach and it is a nightmare, so consider this important aspect if you need your event to go well! The planning aspect of it all went so smoothly and I could not have done it without his help. The evening of the event, caterers were already hard at work by the time I got there. They had set everything up - buffet tables, tablecloths throughout venue, bar with bartender, etc... All I had to do was connect my phone to the Bluetooth for music and start greeting guests when they came in. They seriously made it so easy and I feel like that isn't even their job. Each staff member was friendly and helpful. I could ask them anything and they'd gladly help me find the answer. Not only that, but the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! I wish I had taken pictures but I was too busy with hosting. Everyone I talked to at the event raved about the food choices. We had the following items in the buffet:-Salmon with Ginger Soy Glaze-Stuffed Chicken Breast (Herb Cheese with Balsamic Drizzle)-Broccoli Pancotto-Vegan Summer Pasta-Vegan House Salad-Fresh Breads with Butter-Dessert: Cake Shots -Drinks: Soda, Water, Beer, and WineIn summary, I would strongly recommend Hendri's for anyone who needs a catering service! They fulfill all of the top requirements for an important event, in my opinion - smooth planning process, excellent service before and during event, and delicious food.

Hendri's accommodated a small luncheon where I work yesterday for a friend who came back to work after a 6 month leave. Dan and Mara were quick to respond to all my questions. They were timely with bringing our food. I only wish I had taken pictures. The boxed lunches were simply adorable! The attention to detail given for such a small gathering was remarkable. The venue has this really cool vibe - almost like a speak easy. The bar and archways are beautiful and have some cool history. Dan was wonderful to work with and very attentive to us throughout the planning process. Don't overlook this place because of the outside, the party is inside, and it’s perfect!
