Stopped here for a quick lunch on our way out of town. Everything was so good that we picked up some frozen sausages to go.

Great food!! I ordered the lunch buster 1/2 sandwich 1/2 house salad. For the sandwich I got #22. My fiancé ordered the #30. Both sandwiches were bursting with flavor! The house salad was perfect. The Italian dressing was not to overwhelming or underwhelming. The roast beef on the #22 was great. The sausage on the #30 was so good we bought some to take home with us. I got giardiniera peppers on the side and they were very fresh. You can taste the care put into your meal. I would recommend to anybody. I will definitely revisit when in the area!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!I made homemade red sauce and penne with the Saliccia sausage we bought!! OMG!! Entire house rated 10/10!

We used to eat here more often when we lived closer, but we made the drive from Wisconsin just to get lunch here. I was very happy to buy extra frozen meatballs and sausages to make at home until I can make another trip down to eat here! Our favorite place to eat when we are in St. Louis!

My favorite sandwich shop (on The Hill, in the city, in the county). I eat here at least twice a week or more. Discovered Joe Fassi’s last year when I was looking for something new and fresh for lunch. Whether I eat in, do pick up, or doordash, I can’t wait for my next meatball sub! My favorites are the 24 or 29. I wish I’d known about Joe Fassi’s years ago. Not just the best subs, but I love knowing my money is supporting local business instead of a franchise or national corporation.

I only get to Missouri every year or so and I have been trying to come here for a few years now but things always seemed to come up. So after about 4 years of trying my expectations were pretty freaking high. They did not disappoint. The bread was super soft, the toppings were delicious and the meat was on point. I left completely satisfied after over due expectations

I straight up love this place. It's awesome. The food, the people, the old school vibe, all the history everywhere. I tried the #16 beef and gravy (without prove), it's really good. But my wife got the good stuff with the #2 family favorite. It's really, really good. That sauce is PERFECT. ?Definitely going to be back to try more!

This sandwich was delicious, I love Jersey Mikes and this shop just clears even my old favorite shops. Got the #2

It was great! Reminds me of sandwich shops I'd go to when I was a teenager. Pleasant memories. Sausage sandwich was fantastic, did not disappoint. I'll be back.

What took me so long to go to the St. Louis gem?! So many sandwiche options to choose from. I decided on the hot salami sandwiche made with their in house garlic sausage. It was good, but they went a little overboard on the mustard. My husband got the meatball sub and I will definitely be getting that next time. The one employee working was friendly and we got our food promptly. Then I saw olive salad and just had to get it. Copious amounts of green olives the was just a delight to eat. The ambiance of the place is cozy, charming and old school. Love this and can't wait to go back!

Been stopping in regularly for SEVERAL years now. Tom (Owner / manager) is a GREAT restaurant owner. Not an overtalker like most Italian owners who are sometimes loud and obnoxious but easy going and helpful to satisfy your cravings forn delicious fresh homemade Italian sandwiches/sandwiches and venu.Vegetarian options: the veggie sub as well as plenty of salad choices are deliciousDietary restrictions: Don't Worry if you eat 'clean' ...They have the choices & options!

Nov 2023: got the turkey sandwich with Asiago and it was quite good. Also got the chili, which wasn't what I expected. The chili was like a strange soup with lots of large onion chunks in it..... not my cup of tea.
