A collegue from work and I truly enjoyed the evening dinner! I was totally amazed by the hospitality, service and atmosphere. For sure I will stop by again once I make it back to STL. We ordered pizza and salad, it was just great. Very fresh and homemade. I loved it!

We made a reservation for six people since we all like small restaurants and wanted to try this one with its unique situation of being more vertical than horizontal. It was only one server and she was practically in tears trying to serve everyone so naturally that service wasn't what it should have been but we were patient and sympathetic. When the evening was over we saw the owner behind the bar and commented about how the waitress had more than she could handle. I think our expectation was that the owner would tell us what a wonderful job for employee did in spite of all the obstacles. Instead she completely ignored our words, never asked us how we enjoyed the meal or what we thought of it but went on to tell us about her problem with the dentist, a very boring story that went on for too long. I probably wouldn't go back here and I don't think, sadly, that I could recommend it to anyone else. The food was okay but I sympathies went out to the server who was doing the best she could to give us all a good meal. Too too bad.. the owner might try to show a little more concerned for her guests and even her employee rather than her dental visit. We like the ambience in spite of everything else

They are a great family style italian resturant, the drink adult style was well masterly blended and the scallops were perfect.. low cost, for what it is, and a five star eat

Stopped in to try this little eatery on a beautiful day where we could sit outside. We ordered the toasted ravioli, antipasto plate, and a pizza. The TR was the best we've ever had! Loaded with meat, crisped to perfection on the outside with the perfect amount of Italian seasonings, we could have made it a meal! Pizza was also delicious! Got a simple pepperoni & sausage and it was perfect! The antipasto plate, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Honestly, it's not something I'd even put in front of a customer. I wish I had thought to take a picture. The food tasted fine, but the presentation was sad, sad, sad. The pepperoni looked like it came from the Hormel bag I buy at the grocery store and there were only four flimsy pieces; two wilted grape tomatoes, and two very small wedges of overcooked boiled egg was what attempted to garnish this poor plate of cheese and dried sausage. No olives or capers or dried tomatoes, which would brighten up this dish tremendously. We did have lovely service and enjoyed the atmosphere.

We came for the pizza, and it was pretty good. I see some reviews saying the pizza was awful, and I have to disagree. If you like STL style pizza, you'll like this. If you don't like thin crust & provel cheese, you will not like it.We came on a Friday evening and we were the only people there (at first).

The lettuce on the salads was like they just dumped a bag on the plate and it was brown in places. Our pastas with cream sauce tasted like bland gravy. Hardly any cheese flavor at all.If you know what “mid” means this would be a disgrace to it.

Food was below average. The service was slow. The kitchen forgot an order. Pizza was made with cheese that tasted like sliced American cheddar. The pizza was 30 minutes late and awful.

Went there today for lunch. Took my kid with me, I was looking forward to sharing with her what I had experienced as a kid an young adult. The food WAS always good! NOT anymore! Ordered a pizza, chicken parm. Not good at all! Pizza was over cooked, sauce had not taste. The chicken parm same way no flavor! The sauce tasted like it was from jar. Paid $33. I don't care about the price. The quality of the food was not good at all. Not sure who is running the place now. Certainly not Lou. Very disappointing. Going to leave the memories of what is WAS in my head. Once I get the taste of todays lunch out! Disappointing!

2 stars for the food that is cooked with heat. It all has a taste of propane. Although the salads always are fantastic as long as nothing cooked is mix into them. I have very sensitive palate I can taste an aftertaste with the pizza and pasta's This is a shame as I am sure their recipes themselves are wonderful Maybe change to natural gas or electric for your cooking alternatives. I do want to give 5 stars to the Waite staff service. Cute restaurant with a lot of personality.
