One of my favorite places near Siteman/Barnes. When I was in the hospital for my Leukemia my sister would bring me sandwiches from there a lot and now that I go for appointments, we go a lot. Best sandwiches, lovely location. You won't be disappointed. The grilled cheese is amazing.Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of good choices for Catholics who don't eat meat on Fridays. The lobster soup and grilled cheese are amazing.

We had been at the hospital all morning and was starving! We aren't from STL, so walked around the area trying to find somewhere to have lunch! We found Pickles Deli and it was the best choice we could have made! My mother and I had a Philly cheese steak, my husband had a gyro, and my dad had a ham sandwich that was stacked with a like a lb of ham! My Philly cheese steak was the best I've ever had and I've tried them all over the U.S! We will definitely be returning customers! Thank you all at Pickles Deli for making what was a hard day at the hospital, a better day with great food!

Pickles is my go to deli when in the area. Great food and great service. Originally found Pickles Deli when we had a family member in the hospital at BJC and the rest of the family was spending hours in the waiting room. Being 2 blocks from the hospital, it was worth the walk and they have a great menu. I think we tried almost every sandwich and wrap -- all good. Of course, my current favorite item is the Greek Salad with Gyro meat. Perfectly portioned. Always appreciate how nice the staff is too.Parking: It was within walking distance of CAM and BJC. Didn't need to worry about parking since we were already in the garage.

The Greek salad is always a filler for me and the mushroom soup was tasty however, the pita bread tasted like Fabulous cleaning product therefore, I couldn't eat it. The service was good because the cashier assisted me with the menu and my options for a vegetarian meal. The ambiance was a typical local deli. However, the deli smelled like Fabulous cleaning product which let me know they just cleaned the place and probably wiped the counter down with the cleaning product resulting in my pita bread tasting like Fabulous.

Tried Pickles Deli for the first time today through a work order. I got the BLT in hopes it would be decent since I don't order hot sandwiches when ordering delivery. Literally the worst sandwich I've ever had. Should be called an MLT since there was a layer of Mayo thicker than the bacon. Also there was no pickle listed in the menu description yet received my order with a monstrous pickle which made my bread soggy and inedible. Disgusting sandwich. My salad lettuce was wilted and sad as can be. Can't imagine anything is good here. 0/10 recommend.

Truly amazing deli Sandwiches!! While in St. Louis for work, the locals suggested that we go to Pickles for lunch, it turned out to be a really great suggestion! The employees there are very warm and friendly, and patient while you peruse the menu to determine which sandwich you want (they have a great selection of sandwiches that can be customized a number of ways). Once my order was placed, it didn’t take long for my sandwich to make its way to me. The young man who brought it out to me delivered it gently, and with a smile on his face. The sandwich was AMAZING! I could tell that everything was fresh (the bread, meats and veggies)! I would definitely recommend Pickles Deli as a place to add to your to do list while in St. Louis!

Been here twice and I have to say my impression is pretty average. During my most recent visit, I ordered the French dip sandwich. I will say, the sandwich itself tasted great - the beef was juicy and well-seasoned. However, a common theme among my visits (and the pictures on the menu) is portion size. Most of the sandwiches appear to fall on the smaller end. Even the meatball sub is nowhere close in size to what you'd get at a chain like Subway or Jimmy Johns. Given the sandwiches alone are $11, without drink or sides, I'd expect better portion sizes to justify the price. The value here is slightly better than Panera, but just barely so. Service was fast. Overall, the quality of the sandwiches here are actually decent. For the price, I wish the portions were larger.
