Went to Rock Star Tacos for the first time this weekend and was NOT disappointed! I love the popcorn they give you when you come in, and it's such a nice touch, especially when many restaurants dropped things like free chips and salsa. We went on a Friday evening and sat at the bar, as it is a fairly small space and did not have open tables. Our service was amazing though, the bartender was lovely and everything was quick! We got the Glass Onion Rings to start - maybe the best onion rings I've ever had! Only small disappointment was the sauce which was a bit watery but we think it might've just been an off batch, since everything else had great flavor. I got one hot chicken taco (Piece of my Hot) and a chorizo. The chorizo didn't look like typical chorizo but had amazing flavor and super juicy. Hot chicken was good as well, pickles were a nice touch! We also both ordered margs which were surprisingly delicious, and I'm pretty picky! Not too sweet and decently strong which I liked. I cannot wait to go back!

Was Tuesday night and tacos were calling my name. Decided to try rockstar tacos at gaslight and it was fabulous! Ambience was amazing and the eclectic decorations were really cool. The place was not crowded on a Tuesday evening, but I can definitely see where this place would be a lot of fun when it's popping! The bartender/host that sat was incredibly polite, charming, and took careof our every need. Ended up trying the green chili tamale, which was amazing, super flavorful and covered in queso, which made it even better. I also tried their version of the Jack-in-the-Box taco and a flour tortilla. The taco flour tortilla was great and the house made apricot habanero hot sauce was a perfect compliment. The Mexican style street corn tasted fresh while the Cotija cheese made it creamy along with the mayo that was mixed in- It also had just the right amount of spice. On top of it there were many other items I would love to tried like the poutine fries with a chorizo style gravy or there were several other tacos that were calling my name. This place is definitely worth a visit again!! oh yes, I almost forgot they make fresh on the spot. Homemade lemonade will add any of their house syrups to it. I enjoyed a lemonade with the strawberry pepper syrup that was incredibly refreshing!! Rock star tacos is definitely going platinum!!!

Cool place. Great tacos. They also give you popcorn with some special herbs and butter on it for an appetizer that's free. Would go back and try something new.

I'm very disappointed. The atmosphere is cool, but I don't recommend eating here unless you're ok with roaches crawling all over the kitchen your food is being prepared in. Also, the owner Wil is a hot head.

Had a Cherry White, Pep Sematary, and Slice Spice Baby and all were delicious. The Curd Eye Blind are some of the best cheese curds I’ve had. The tamales were perfect, and the Hot for Pizza was a great elevated Mexican pizza. Absolutely will be back!

TrUST mE! I dine here quite frequently as it is delicious, the staff is great, and the menu is hilarious if you know Jack about music. While not my favorite, the "man in the box" jackkboxx riff is spot on, featuring AMERICAN CHEESE and a SWEET CHILI SAUCE", as listed plainly in the menu description. The chorizo is so scrumtrulecent I often get a side to go to make w eggs in the AM. The scrimp tacos are my 2nd fav. Sorry if this review is confusing, the shockingly good bar has me swooning.

The man in the box had AMERICAN CHEESE ON IT, and salsa that was so terrible we thought it was ketchup. The down on the korner were fried monstrosities. The shrimp tacos were just meh. At the very least the guac has to be good, right?? No. It’s so clearly out of a bag. The only edible thing were the chips. Maybe you have to be trashed to think this is a good taco place? Or the other reviewers have never had a single meal before in their lives. But do not go here.

Serious kickass rockstar vibes all around - beyond fantastic service, ambiance, REALLY delish custom drink (because my basic ass didn't know what to order besides rum and coke and then was inspired to ask the bartender for recommendations) annnnnd the food omfg chorizo tacos were crazy awesome and I'm taking extra home with me plus extra chips - the absolute best seasoning and texture comboAs an 80's kid the vibe esp music is a delight! For sure coming back again...maybe tomorrow
