Been coming here since I was a kid with my dad. Tonight I showed up and at that point was already going to get a Gerber no matter what. But $17 for a Gerber and a fountain soda is crazy. Also seems like the sandwiches have gotten much smaller. Alot less meat. Bread is skinnier. And for some reason no paprika on top anymore. I was shocked. I'll give it one more shot. But the prices can't be justified.

I haven't been to a Ruma's since O'Fallon, MO closed years ago. Well the food is as good as I remember! Friendly staff, too.

I was told to try a "half and half" sandwich; half Gerber and half Prosperity and I'm glad I did. The sandwich was delicious.

My recent experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The ambiance is dated, reminiscent of a truck stop, and the customer service was subpar. Despite placing a large order, I received the wrong items and discovered the mistake only after a 45-minute drive home. When I called to address the issue, they not only blamed me for stating the wrong name (which I didn't), but also responded with hostility, yelling over the phone. In comparison, I've encountered better customer service at fast-food establishments like McDonald's.

Ordered take-out: manicotti lunch special. Tomato sauce too sweet for my taste; would prefer a little more salt and savory flavor.

If you're looking for a good sandwich, you'll find it here. Great people too, the kind of place you want to leave a tip.

This place is definitely not up to par anymore. After we ordered we found a seat and waited for our meal. Right after our order, I started to hearing beeping sounds, well turns out that was the sound of a microwave. So, if you like your food microwaved this is the place to go. I just sat there thinking to myself there is no way that's what I am hearing. Well sure enough, I went up to the counter to get a to-go box. The door to the kitchen was wide open and I watched the man place food in the microwave. So very disappointing. The quality of food was just not there and I know why. Not sure I will be visiting that location any more. Maybe their Imperial location cooks the food fresh.

Got the baked mostaccioli with meat balls. And a gerber pizza. 1st time getting the gerber pizza. I gotta say it was darn good. This food brings me back to my childhood and fills my belly and my heart. Service was quick and the counter guy was very nice.

Baked mostacoli was average … I get the feeling this place was good in the 1980s

It’s okay. Nothing special. I wouldn’t say anything is gross but I could spend less at mccalisters for a great sandwhich and get double the amount of food. — my blt literally doesn’t even have one full piece of bacon… it’s like a bunch of bacon crumbles and I had to trash my mozzarella sticks, they’ve definitely gone off or the oil needs to be changed. :/ really bummed I just spent over $20 for a skimpy sandwhich and mozzarella sticks I couldn’t even eat. The price is not worth it to me at all. With all that said I will say that the staff is so so sweet and helpful which makes this really unfortunate

I just don't get it, wasted $67 here. Tried the Gerber Special it's ham on toasted french bread, with melted Provel cheese. Sounds good but isn't tasted cheap and nasty like they got the ham from the dollar general store or a shell gas station. Had two bits of the and threw it in the trash it wasn't worth the calories. Wife had a pizza bread it was simple and taste nasty. Their marinara is gross, it's super sweet. Think Ragu mixed with crushed sweetarts. The kids had a pizza they wouldn't eat ended up going some place else to to eat.

I'm so thankful there is a Ruma nearby because their subs are amazing. The bread is of high quality and the meat is always generous. Whether you order a Gerber, Prosperity or Super, you're sure to be satisfied!

Used to go to Ruma's Deli at West County Mall in the 1980s as a 10 year old kid. The Prosperity sandwich is even better than I remembered! Loved watching my 12 years old play the 1980s style video game Ms Pacman and Galaga. Still 0.25¢!Thanks, Ruma's. I wish there was an IL location.....but this was well worth the drive.
