Stopped in before the Blues game; seemed like a good place to grab a quick bite. Was not disappointed. Service was really good, and that was probably one of the best pork chops I've ever eaten. We were in and out in plenty of time on a Saturday evening.

This is a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. The only downside is that the wait can be long and while they have a wait-list, the do not do reservations. It will definitely be a regular for us when we visit the aquarium.Wheelchair accessibility: Union station is wheelchair accessible, and the tables are low and spread out enough that maneuvering should be ok.

Though everything we ordered was delicious, I would have lived seeing more THEME in this space. Foods influenced from famous St. Louis places of the past. Service was fantastic, thanks Alfredo!

The Train Shed at Union Station is an industrial-themed bar and restaurant located right next to the Saint Louis Aquarium. My party came in on a Saturday at 12. Although the restaurant was packed, we had no wait and were able to order and eat quickly. The short menu features a collection of standard American dishes: salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, and a variety of appetizers. I got the Turkey Club, on which the turkey was smoked well and generously piled. The waffle fries were crispy and flavorful. Some others got the Smash Burger, which had a double patty, and the last of us got a chicken sandwich which was, in her words, was the “best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.” Our server, Shanell, was professional and super friendly without being too pushy about sales. She made us feel right at home. We all left with full bellies, and I left with leftovers. The only thing keeping me at a 4 on atmosphere would be the fact that tourist destinations like these tend to be obnoxiously loud. It was hard for us to have a conversation with each other without yelling. Thanks, Train Shed!

Food wasn't as expected. We ordered the Salmon dish that comes with sautéed spinach. The spinach looked like it came straight out the bag onto the plate. We didn't complain because they would've had to waste 5 orders & we would've had find somewhere else to go so late in the evening.

The atmosphere and decorations are really great during Christmas. For the crowd, wait time, and prices- I don't know that the food or drinks are worth it. It's not bad just expensive for what you get. We went on a Sunday at 11:00 and had an hour long wait. It was packed. (During Christmas time. Might be better when it's not Christmas season.)

We love the train shed and have been there twice. It is especially nice during the holidays. They transform the entire place into a magical Christmas. The food and drinks keeps getting better and they have amazing mock tails.Kid-friendliness: We always have kids with us and the tests is very accommodating.

Never make it past the host. He first just stared at us without saying anything. I asked, “can I get a table for 2 please?” The response was “2.5 - 3 hour wait.” I said that was fine, as we live 10 minutes away and planned on going back up there in 1.5 - 2 hours, which would leave us plenty of time to make it back before the 2.5 - 3 hour window the host told us. The host did not say anything after this. The only words that were ever spoken were “2-3 hour wait.” How is this acceptable to have this man be the first person customers see? How did he get that job and how on earth does he still have it? People like that should be nowhere near customers. Anyways, as soon as we got home (10 minutes after making a reservation), he called and said “tables ready.” So the time went from 2.5 - 3 hours, to 10 minutes. I can confidently say the host wanted to turn away as many customers as he could so he could put forth as little effort as possible. We stated that we would make it back in 10 minutes, but he stated “can only hold for 5.” I asked why he told us 2.5 - 3 hour wait when it was only 10 minutes. Of course, his response was “I didn’t say that.” I should have known the laziness would also result in lying as well. It’s a shame for the other workers in this establishment, as your host is losing everyone money. Will never go back and strongly discourage anyone from going.

Definitely a favorite: everything is perfect. The food and atmosphere is upscale, but the prices and staff are still very comfortable.
