Picked this place for a steak based on other website reviews thinking it was going to be a pretty fancy place it was not. More so a country old timey saloon not that I was disappointed it was actually pretty cool inside but definitely more “homely” bartenders had little crops on which then gave it another sort of vibe while the rest of the staff wore tshirts and sweatshirts. On the food it was all pretty good not the greatest steak I’ve ever had and cooked pretty well. It had this seasoning I would describe like a southern sweet rather than a salty seasoning you usually have on a steak.

The place is very small. And had no parking. I had to walk through an alley to get to the restaurant.We had 7 in our group. They wouldn't seat us till everyone showed up.We were seated at a round table that fit 5-6. Being said, we were very uncomfortable eating. Order a filet mignon, veggies, and bake potato.The filet had no flavor. Veggies were good. They forgot my bake potato. Didn't receive my potato until I was ready to pay the check. No apologies.

I came here for lunch on 4/10/24. I wanted to order a meal that I could also have for dinner. I chose the 20oz Porterhouse that came with a baked potato and a side salad. Definitely more than enough for lunch, dinner, and lunch the next day! The salad was really good and I would just order that by itself? My steak was seasoned and cooked the way I prefer. Needless to say, my whole meal was delicious and I’ll be returning. Especially when I want to treat myself to a nice steak. Oh, and let me not forget the server/bartender, Cindy…she was great ?

Let me first start off by saying I rarely feel compelled to write a review about anything Good or Bad, I figured it's all apart of the experience of dinning out. I typically take things as a learning lesson and keep it pushing but for me to actually write this it has to be THAT BAD.I would absolutely give negative stars if it was allowed. This is by far the worst dinning experience I ever had visiting the City of St. Louis. I am convinced most of the reviews that give anything higher than 1 star are actually friends and family of this horrible establishment.I have never in my life been so revolted by a restaurant that I didnt finish any part of my meal even the Soda was flat!!! EVERY single thing was overcooked and/or under seasoned, it's quite remarkable when you think of it to be honest. A so called restaurant that can mess up the simplest thing from a house salad to a main entrée should be studied. Think of High School cafeteria style dining but worse. This haphazard dungeon of a place should not be serving food of any sort.I did address my concerns with the manager on duty and his hollow and dismissive attitude was par for the course and I shouldn't have expected anything more. His attitude let me know right then and there he gets several complaints and is used to being argumentative about their disgusting food.I basically donated money to this restaurant maybe it can be put towards actual culinary classes for the cooks in the back.I promptly paid my bill and left after the manager had the nerve to ask if I wanted to go containers, I wouldn't feed that slop to a dog.I will never step foot in any restaurant with the name Tuckers. This Cheers wanna be establishment can kick several rocks.
We had dinner here this past Sunday night and while the French fries were crispy and delish that’s the only nice thing I could say about our experience. The wings were dry and there was barely any meat on them. My husband had a steak, which he ordered medium rare was very much medium well. Someone else in our party could not eat his steak at all which was well done but ordered medium rare. With the wings I ordered blue cheese dressing, was served ranch. We were served food but had no silverware. Employees were sweeping around us in between our chairs and the wall. It was still an hour before close so I’m not sure what that was about. This was the first time eating here, and it will be the last unfortunately. There are a lot of amazing restaurants in soulard, but this is not one of them

We are from out of town and wanted to eat local. Tucker's Pkace was highly recommended on Google. Well we all know those reviews can be iffy. We decided to try it. We got there when the doors opened. Good thing we did. It was Sunday and a line was out the door when we arrived. We were seated as soon as possible. The service was great and I can't say enough about the food. The baked potato was the best I have ever had. The steak was fantastic and if I had room I bet dessert would be great. Thanks for a great experience. ?

I had to choose between Texas RoadHouse and Tuckers and I wanted to try something new. Regretfully I chose Tuckers. Medium well steak cooked well and the waiter takes your order with no pen or paper and forgot half my order. Then haggled by the manager. I could have made that food at home. It was a half decent steak had a rotten tomatoe in my salad just unpleasant experience with old smells too. Thanks but no thanks
