I would give this place 4.5 if that was an option, the food was delicious, the best thing in my opinion were the sides of the proteins, the carrots were probably the best ones I’ve had amazing, potatoes amazing and cauliflower very tasty. The meals as I said, 5/5!. The whole experience and service was maybe 3.5/5. The timing of the meal felt at first rush, we got the first course and we still had basically full cocktails, no much mention on the wines and pairings (we ended sharing a couple of glasses of wine we picked out the menu and turned out good). Despite my complaints I recommend this place, the food was good and with the changes coming with the a la carte menu, I’m excited to try other dishes.

PROS: Absolutely wonderfully delicious.CONS: Not a Michelin star restaurant yet. Parking is confusing. They serve you their already set menu. $$$$!

This was an amazing experience with my Co-Workers. We all had the farmers feast and each dish was crafted absolutely perfectly! I love that it was a farm to table concept. They accompanied two of my friends whom 1 was a vegan and the other a pescatarian. No one felt like they got cheated and the dishes were absolutely beautiful.Vegetarian options: Vegetable forward so vegan and vegetarian options are easy accommodating

Sat at the bar with my husband. We ordered three drinks, three "snack" plates and a flat bread. With their automatic gratuity, the bill was about $130. The food was flavorful and the service was attentive. The space is lovely. We were the only people at the bar and the restaurant was mostly empty for the "happy hour" we spent. There was a guy behind the bar who was amazing - - he was friendly, engaging, informative. He had excellent recommendations and seemed invested in our experience. There was also a woman behind the bar with dark hair who seemed unhappy. As we sat down, I immediately sensed something was wrong. She just seemed.....burdened. She wasn't much for eye contact and seemed to resent our being there, though I did not take this personally (oddly); it is hard to explain but I just felt she had something going on in her life that was heavy. We all do sometimes. I did see her engage with some of her colleagues which seemed to lighten her disposition a bit - - she smiled at them, shared a laugh. My husband likes to sit at a bar and engage with others - - customers, bartenders....he likes people, he enjoys conversation. I know this won't appeal to everyone and we all have bad days but when this young lady sipped a cocktail off to the side, my husband joked that at first he thought she was doing quality control on a customer's drink before realizing she made it for herself. He was smiling, chuckling as he said this - being playful in an effort to connect. She bristled and frowned. "I didn't make it for myself. I am doing research." "What are you researching?" He asked, genuinely curious to know if it was a new cocktail and what the profile was like. "Well," she snapped, incredibly bitter, "to answer you in an equally condescending tone, I am helping my bar manager with....." Honestly, I can't report the last bit of her sentence as I quit listening. Her expression was so irritated, so full of contempt, I recoiled into myself and shut down. We all fell silent for several awkward beats before she seemed to only slightly soften and commented on some of the flavors she was working with in the cocktail. We listened and nodded, the awkwardness still present like a fourth, unwanted stranger among us. Then, she walked off and did not return for a bit. I assumed she was taking some time, allowing herself to be frustrated, upset, irritated, angry - whatever was going on with her - in private. If this young woman is reading this review, we apologize for offending you. My husband and I are both extroverts and while we genuinely enjoy connecting with others, we should not assume just because you are working behind a bar, that you are receptive or will find his playful effort to engage charming. I mean this. I am not being passive aggressive. And while I am not sure if you were having a bad day or it was truly just us, if anything at all is unsettling you, I genuinely hope it gets better. This was my first time at Vicia and I had been excited to try it. We were there because I had just learned that I will need 2-3 surgeries to correct a complex medical problem. If you can believe it, we were actually celebrating because I had such a positive, supportive meeting with a specialist that day where I felt validated and comforted by the plan she recommended. We were there because we are like anyone struggling with something....just trying to find the light in the dark.

We came on a Saturday and had sample menu dinner at the bar. We started off with cocktail special old fashion- it tasted like you were drinking juice, please don't name it old fashion if it tastes like juice. First course - delicate tempura tasted not fresh and dry, vegetable tacos were just fine, the only thing that was good from first course was baked vegetables Main course- sirloin was dry and hard to cut. Pork plate- was also hard to cut Service was good with ambiance. But for the price of ~$340 this was NOT worth it.

My favorite restaurant in all of STL. Incredible flavors that explode and mingle in your mouth with every bite, causing both surprise and delight. Every time we go is different. I love how vegetables are celebrated here as much as meats. We come back every season to try out the new seasonal menu.

Loved the farmer’s feast!!! The restaurant accounted for our dietary restrictions and created a menu that was delicious and fulfilling. Every single dish was on point from a taste and presentation perspective. Highly recommend.

Best meal I've had in STL hands down. This restaurant would hold it's own in any Michelin rated city. The highlights for me were how fresh the ingredients and friendly service. Best dishes I had were the scallop crudo, Chicken thigh and sausage, and the winter dessert.Wine pairings were very nice and they were receptive to feedback and offered free tastings of other things.I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went for chefs tasting with a group of 12 people. We were seated in the heated patio. The ambience was wonderful. They had a real fire place with wood burning and ceramic heaters. This kept the table super cozy. The chef menu is 95+ with a minimum spend of $125 per guest. For this price the food was underwhelming. The appetizer round had 4 different appetizers, carrot dish, squash fritter tostada and veggie tacos. Presentation all dishes was good. Entree round had grilled pork and chicken, both were just ok. They also had Cauliflower and another cheese dish. The dessert was a grape sorbet with cream. This was good.Although cocktails looked interesting. They were watered down. Was really expecting more.

Finally made it here after wanting to go for three years. My expectations were very high after hearing about it from many people in some vegan groups I'm in. Wow!!!! Vicia did not disappoint!! From start to finish, the farmers feast was incredible!! Our guide, Daniel, was informative, considerate of our food choices, and very kind. Every staff member we encountered was equally wonderful. The bonus chocolate sorbet with candle for my birthday was a special surprise. I'm still thinking about the pumpkin sorbet with chocolate cake and hazelnuts. Incredible!!! The menu changes with the seasons, so we can't wait to come back for the spring version.

Don't waste your time. I had to cancel late due to business travel getting cancelled. The staff were less than understanding. They offered to reschedule but i didn't know when i would be in the area next. I had a single reservation for 1 person at the bar. They were trying to charge me $50 for cancelling late. They basically said even if i rescheduled for when i believe it'd be there the fee would still apply if i had to cancel. Again ...one seat at a bar is not worth $50. That's more than half the cost of their tasting menu! Based on people around the area i know they also said the portion sizes have decreased greatly but the prices keep going up. So yes i was charged $50 for the cancellation with no understanding from the restaurant. How sad. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
