Lo and behold we had received a confirmation for the reservation but when we got there, we found the restaurant closed with shades pulled down over the windows, and where we were able to see inside it appeared that there were no tables, chairs or anything present. A Maps search to make sure we were at the correct location resulted in a notice that the place is “temporarily closed”. What gives?

Arrived on a Wednesday at 3pm and they are closed. No signage explaining why. Phone goes straight to voicemail. Inside looks abandoned. I think they are permanently closed.

Bro, i made a reservation for after my graduation and the place just wasn't open..?? like i tried calling and it went straight to voicemail, we tried walking in, all doors locked. when i was looking thru the windows i didn't even see tables or chairs. i was very confused?? I'm really annoyed because i was looking forward to celebrating with my family.

The food was average; the scallops were overcooked. The sauce for the crab cake was excellent. The apps were served after the main course but our server did apologize. The decor was just off. The place needs a serious update.

This was my first time visiting West End Bistro. I went on the suggestion of a friend. She said it was a great place and she was right. We enjoyed the staff, the atmosphere, the music and of course, the food. I have absolutely no complaints. I was "concerned" about a somewhat long wait for our orders, but I learned that the food is "made to order", which makes it worth the wait. And the food was outstanding. I recommend visiting West End Bistro anytime. I hear they have live music on some evenings and an all-you-can-eat buffet / brunch on Sundays. I will definitely be returning!

Our Mother's Day experience on 05/08/2022, After paying $25 a person we all went home Hungry. Yeap all 5 of us had to order food. The Buffet was empty we didn't even see the Salomon or shrimp the rest of the food was cooled. And the solution offered was for them to microwave our food. Never going there again or will I ever recomment it to any one.

The food wasn't great, seafood was overcooked and dry. The appetizers were served after the main course. Our server wasn't sure if he was covering our table and checked with us infrequently; they were not busy. The decor was a mess. It seemed like the place has had several owners and they keep adding incongruent items. They still have some Christmas decorations up in May (and they were faded). Not a great experience.

This is a hidden Gem, tucked across the street from Forest Park! Service was absolutely on point and attentive. We started with the Mussels, Calamari and Honey mustard Chicken wings. They were all served hot and tasted amazing. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and was fresh. The Mussels were in a fantastic broth and super fresh and tasty, as were the Wings. At first I was a little leary about the Honey Mustard on the wings but it was sweet band tangy and new! I enjoyed. The true start came next...that French Onion Soup!! There are somethings I have to order when I see them on menus and this is one of them. It is a MUST to order! You will be jockeying yourself for not ordering a bowl and getting just a cup (TRUST ME). One of the best bowl of French Onion soup in STL! Onions cooked tender, broth was flavorful and rich...goodness and that cheese ontop!!! Entrees: Seafood Stuffed Trout, Stuffed Chicken breast, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and the cheeseburger. All were delicious, the Stuffed Chicken breast had a Chicken mousse inside. It was thick and added to the overall Chicken flavor. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was YUGE, creamy and Garlicy. The Seafood stuffed Trout was so tender and seasoned nicely, a true winner. Looking forward to dining here in the near future!

A MUST GOme and my hubby went today, immediately as we walked in the door we were greeted and seated, and our order was promptly taken. Our glasses were always full, and we were well taken care of. Need more mayonnaise? They gave it immediately. More utensils? No hassel. We were well taken care of the entire night, they checked up on us, as well as engaged in banter. When we offered feedback, they were more then open. The wait time was a little longer than I expected, though I suspect that is due to staffing issues.I highly reccomend the Seafood Gumbo and Chocolate cake, my hubby isn't a sweets guy, but he ate it up. It was my first time eating frog legs, was a more than pleasant experience.I think we will be regulars here now

The food was amazing! The hostess was amazing and our waiter to. I give 3 stars because we had a coupon that said the limit was 3 per person and he let us only use one I only had 2. I was going to be ignorant. It was $15 off from Groupon. We spent over $300, there were 5 of us. And we tipped well. And the bathroom was clean and the had lotion in there.

I ordered the lamb gyro and j*** chicken wings. The lamb was extremely delicious. My husband really enjoyed the spicy j*** wings. The ordered came with hot hot French fries. I will go back and try a few more different dishes. Great customer service also.

The wait staff was really nice but the kitchen was extremely slow. The stuffed chicken breast was small and over cooked but the kitchen did send out another order but we got it to go. The shrimp and grits was under seasoned and could have used more gravy because the grits were in a small bowl and the shrimp were on the side. The buffalo cauliflower was the highlight of the meal.

We visited a week ago and ordered the filet mignon Despite bring the only diners there service was extremely slow as it took almost an hour for the food arrived it was not worth the wait and our server failed to attend to our table I finally had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask for a refill on a beverage myself I will never visit the place again If you want prompt friendly and attentive service and fine food this is NOT the place to go

Beautiful atmosphere and great food! The staff is very professional and each experience I've had at this establishment felt very personalized and warming. The Chef and The Matron of the Bar are very beautiful hosts. I can definitely feel and taste the love in every thing.
