This was my first time in St Louis and I had to get some BBQ. Heavy Smoke ended up being my first stop. They set the bar high. The ribs were fall off the bone good. Brisket, pulled pork, and beans were amazing as well. Their spicy blueberry and pineapple sauces were a special treat. But the apple bread pudding…OMG. It should come with a warning label. It was smack your momma good. Definitely a must visit!

Made an online order for the 3 meat plate. When we went by to pick up, the service was extremely polite and friendly. The actual restaurant is extremely spacious and it's definitely the kind of place I'd love to sit down and eat at. As for the BBQ itself, we liked the Brisket/Burnt Ends and enjoyed the sausage. It was a bummer that we weren't able to order ribs but next time we'll try to order earlier :)

So I've been to Heavy Smoke 3 times now. This guy deserves all of those trophies and ribbons! I have tried the Pork Cakes (like a crab cake but made with pulled pork), The burnt ends, the seasoned tater tots, and the King Scott Sandwich (Brisket, pulled pork, pretzel bun, queso, horseradish sauce, and apple bbq sauce). The pork cakes are delicious. You get the smoky tender pork with a little crispness on the pan fried edges of the cake. The fruity spicy sauce really sets it off. The burnt ends were tender and well smoked. The seasoned tater tots are just their dry rub tossed with the tots but very crisp and good. I was not a big fan of the King Scott Sandwich. I'm not sure if it was an off day or what but the proteins weren't as fresh that day. I thought the brisket and the pulled pork were both tough. The queso was not necessary. I'll be back though. I really like it here and I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu.

I had some of the best BBQ while I was in the area for work. I got the pick two meat plate with brisket and burnt ends the first visit then got the glutton the second time. both meals were excellent and I've told everyone I know to hit this place up the next time they are in the St Peters St Louis area. hands down the best I've had in all of my travels.

LOVE this place! I live in KC, but anytime I'm in the Lou have to go to Heavy Smoke. My most recent visit got to try this blueberry BBQ & it was the best bbq sauce I've ever had! My 3 year olds also enjoyed the Mac!

Mac and cheeseNothing spectacularDecentNeeded salt and pepperNoodles need to boil a little longer7/10GreenbeansDry, but flavorful. Plenty of spices used. Would have preferred them in their juices. Some were cut and other uncut.6/10The Brisket Eggrolls are fantastic. Full of flavors, nothing I have ever tasted before. The shell itself wasn't too crunchy that it would make a mess. The inside of the eggroll wrapper was a little undone but overall superb 9.5/10Restaurant is conveniently accessible but also far enough from the city. Place was empty when I visited but I hope that they have good business. Definitely would eat here again to focus on the brisket, eggrolls, egg rolls instead of sides.

The food is amazing! The staff worked very hard to ensure our order was correct and to the highest standards. They even offered and then remade one of our appetizers that they felt wasn’t perfect. This establishment is going on my shortlist of favorites. I can’t wait to come back. I’m very picky about my BBQ, this is as good as anything I’ve had across the country.

We arrived at approximately 6:45 on a Saturday evening and they were sold out of all of the meats except pulled pork and pulled chicken and several sides which I guess is to be somewhat expected that late in the day. The food was ok but nothing was hot only lukewarm. The taste of the food was decent but not amazing. The icing on the cake for me was the staff was flipping chairs on top of tables and mopping the floors with roughly 25 guests left in the dining area and 45 minutes until closing time. I felt like I was in their way even though we left at 7:27 which is 33 minutes before close.

Great food. We ate here twice within 7 days. Food was fresh and hot and the portions ate huge. Before you go, you should know what to expect. This is a BBQ spot. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The rest is up to you. Get your own drinks, napkins, condiments etc. You won't be having a candle lit dinner here but you can have an awesome meal in an upbeat atmosphere. It's a family spot. It's not quiet. They were out of many items at the end of the first day so we came earlier the second time. They had everything. I can appreciate that. The food is fresh. If I could offer some constructive criticism it would be to use less styrofoam cups and take out boxes. That's for our earth.

I tried something new, and I wish that I didn't. I normally get the pork steak, which is amazing. I tried the glutton. I was not a big fan of it. There wasn't very much brisket in it. It was mostly tater tots and mac n cheese. The cheese on top had a powdery taste. For my side, I had the potato casserole. Never Again! I honestly thought someone _______ on my plate!

Start off by saying they broke the unspoken cardinal bbq rule. *Never pre-sauce your product. Meat should be able to stand on its own without sauce, makes you suspect when comes pre-sauced… The ribs were perfectly cooked (fall off the bone), brisket was on the dry side and burnt ends were not very ‘burnt’. Recommend sides of creamy coleslaw, loaded potato salad and smoked beans. BBQ sauces sounded exotic (spicy pineapple, smoked apple, etc) but were really nothing special. Pricing to quality/quantity was average. Not the worst or best bbq I have had, average. As always, Tell’em OuttaTownTony sent you via Google Reviews!
